Mike Sidaway Music Entertainment: 'Live' - The PodCast (People Pleasing Music Company Ltd in association with Authentic Promotions Agency and Derek Chiswick Management presents) show

Summary: 16. Today's Episode People Pleasing Music Company Ltd (incorporating Publishing and Management) in association with Authentic Promotions Agency, Enigma Artistes Internacional, Surreal Events, Angry House Productions and Derek Chiswick Management presents a: Mike Sidaway Music Entertainment Production The Evening Sunset Sessions: Tuesday 19th May 2020 And winner of the most dubious performance of the session goes to: Yes, you guessed it - the recorded song that has been spliced into this podcast because the original 'live' one was, frankly, offensive! Dancing With A Stranger, Sam Smith & Normani It's quite useful (and strangely pleasing and satisfying) to do a pretty bad version of a song during one of these!  During the 'live' performance of the song, I can tell if it's going badly, and resign/prepare myself for having to re-do it.  It (a song going badly during these 'live' sessions) actually provides me with a pretty good excuse to make a recording, which I enjoy.  As I've said before, these fleeting 'live' performances are fine.  But, I do like more the considered and focused recording where you can pay attention to the delivery of every phrase of a song and try to make it the best you can (to a point). The songs that tend to go not so well during these 'live' Facebook sessions, are usually the newer songs - the ones that I have not performed so much at venues.  And since my policy is 0% practice, then I guess it goes without saying that they are not always going to go smoothly...but, that's ok. Your voice - your vocal chords (I suppose the muscles) - kind of have to learn how to sing each particular song.  And I guess each time you perform it, you, your memory and your muscle memory sort of have to take over to make it happen.  Each song, each genre, with different registers/ranges, different styles and timbres and vocal deliveries...it's kind of interesting. Hope you enjoy some of these.  Thanks again for listening...   Songs Today I've Got The World On A String, Frank Sinatra Blue Suede Shoes, Elvis Presley Upside Down, Jack Johnson She's Always A Woman, Billy Joel Sweet Home Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd Singing The Blues, Guy Mitchell Dancing With A Stranger, Sam Smith & Normani (Recorded) Come Dance With Me, Michael Bublé Faith, George Michael Viva La Vida, Coldplay Get Lucky, Daft Punk Ft.
