Summary: 1. Today's Episode People Pleasing Music Company Ltd (incorporating Publishing and Management) in association with Authentic Promotions Agency, Enigma Artistes Internacional, Surreal Events, Angry House Productions and Derek Chiswick Management present a: Mike Sidaway Music Entertainment Production PREVIEW - The Morning Breakfast Sessions: Wednesday 8th April 2020The Stage Manager, Derek Chiswick - from Chiswick, ironically - knocks on the toilet door (the backstage venue does not have an artiste room) to inform young Mr Sidaway that it's five minutes until showtime. Derek has been in the music and entertainment business forever, it seems. Well, he is 67 years-old - ancient, by today's standards - and has a lot of experience and 'wisdom'. Mike is, understandably, a bit nervous. After all, he is new to this. His experimental, trial, first show the day before went extremely badly. First time nerves, a number of technical sound issues that made for a pretty bad start to his new career entertaining people on-stage as opposed to his video camera in his bedroom. But Derek is very supportive and positive. Perhaps a little blunt and too honest at times - but, nonetheless, very encouraging and is most definitely in Mike's corner, like a trainer, revving him up, getting him going, building up his confidence and completely willing him on.Derek - a keen keyboard player himself - is quite keen, it seems, to push Mike down the Technics synthesiser route. Firstly, as the keyboard is equipped with a quite excellent selection of 'rivums' (to get people up dancing to the Bossa Nova, etc), at the touch of a dust/crumb/some kind of oily substance surrounded button (that sticks and won't come back up when depressed) on his state-of-the-art 1993 SX-KN2000 (the one with the super-convenient 'deluxe metal music stand' that slots into the holes) model mk2 control panel (which forces him to play every song with the Steel Drums sound). But, secondly, for the selfish reason to benefit Derek himself, who still, to this day, owns a number of shares (which must be 'worf a small fortune') in the, now, defunct and delisted company. Derek did not, it appears, receive the letter informing him that the Technics division of Panasonic went into administration in the early 2000s and that the dividend cheque payable to him was only in the region of £253.18 (not a small fortune).Derek does a nice, easy Sunday afternoon 'set' for the local community in the village hall. The villagers, according to Derek, absolutely 'luuv' it...He's also had some experience in Music Management, and is quite keen to represent and promote the talents and services of young Mr Sidaway, who he feels needs more direction, focus, career development and a clear 'parf' forward. There are untapped markets out there to be exploited - including Facebook 'Live'.According to Derek, other musicians and entertainers ou there are, in his words, 'raking it in, and filling their wallets win digital money'.Good luck Mr Sidaway. And break a leg.   Songs Today No songs today unfortunately (due to not recording the show).   Thanks to our team -  Sound:  Nathan Production Team:  Beryl, Betty, Deidre, Doris, Ethel, Elsie, Evelyn, Blanche, Fred, Irene, Ken, Mabel, Mavis, Pearl, Phyllis and Reg.
