6. Mike Sidaway Music Entertainment: The Morning Breakfast Sessions (Tuesday 21st April 2020)

Mike Sidaway Music Entertainment: 'Live' - The PodCast (People Pleasing Music Company Ltd in association with Authentic Promotions Agency and Derek Chiswick Management presents) show

Summary: 6. Today's Episode People Pleasing Music Company Ltd (incorporating Publishing and Management) in association with Authentic Promotions Agency, Enigma Artistes Internacional, Surreal Events, Angry House Productions and Derek Chiswick Management presents a: Mike Sidaway Music Entertainment Production The Morning Breakfast Sessions: Tuesday 21st April 2020   Derek is back. It always feels good when Derek is back.  Kind of like when Bob is listening.  It's just a reassuring presence that feels good and you can't quite explain why. The contract is signed.  We're on for 15%.  Or, should I say, Derek is on for 15% of Mike's earnings.  What young Mr Sidaway does not realise, however, is that he has signed to Derek Chiswick Management for the rest of his days, and will have to pay said Chiswick a tidy percentage until the day he dies, regardless of whether the young, innocent, green Musician decides to leave DCM for another manager/agent.  And if that wasn't enough to melt your keys, Derek Chiswick Management will be entitled to any profits from any such music-related activity from the Sidaway Estate for the next 300 years.  Just as Mike thought that Derek was going soft in his old age, little did he realise that Derek seems to be cut from the same cloth as that Cowell fella.  Mike should really have read the small print.  But, I suppose it's nothing a few expensive Lawyers can't settle in the future.  I suppose, looking for the positives, there seems to be little chance, these days, of making any money at all at the moment, and for the foreseeable future, from anything remotely music-related.  Anyway, what Mr Sidaway doesn't know should not trouble him... Another, splendid, sunny day on planet Earth.  But has anybody actually tuned in, or bothered to turn up to hear Mike's warbling?  It has been very quiet at the Community Centre of late.  Just some kids round the back near the fire exit, and the occasional face peeping around the squeaky door. Still, as Derek puts it, it's a good step up from playing in your bedroom, gets you out the house, and is good practice. Unbelievably, it would seem, Derek has managed to secure Mike his first paid engagement.  And - get this - at a care home less.  In the present circumstances, it is truly remarkable.  But, the care home and the residents there are itching for some kind of activity and musical entertainment.  Social distancing will have to be respected, and Mike will be positioned at the very bottom of the home's back garden.  What on earth is he going to sing for 90-year-olds?  Roll out the barrel and Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner are Derek's suggestions.  Hmm.  Maybe Mike should consider bringing along Derek.  He would fit in nicely among the 90-year-olds, and I'm sure Mrs Chiswick wouldn't mind if Mike forgot to bring him back home (to Chiswick) after the gig. Mrs Chiswick was very scathing in her critique of the Live Lockdown Concert of BBC1 on Sunday evening. Elton John in particular.  I suppose his living legend status has to cut him at least a little slack.  That, and the fact that he has got toddlers to look after.  It's not easy.  And he was probably a little run down from having to wheel out his Grand Piano onto his patio and do all the cables himself.    Songs Today Circles, Post Malone She's Got A Way, Billy Joel Memories, Maroon 5 Stand By Me, Ben E.
