Summary: Today's guest on I Am Refocused Podcast is Josh Hurt!<br><br>Bio<br><br>Josh Hurt is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and one of its most sought after and recognized singers. He brings an energetic and refreshing sound to music that appeal to the young as well as the seasoned saints. He sang his first solo in church at the age of 7 and since then his love for music has grown and now it is very evident that it’ll always be a part of his life.<br><br>Undeniably called to musically bridge denominational gaps, Josh carries a burden for uniting believers to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. It is further his desire to inspire and encourage other young men to cast aside the tough guy stereotype and relentlessly pursue the presence of God in worship. Josh also mentors worship leaders of various ages, frequently being called upon to help them bridge the gap in their churches between Traditional Gospel and Christian Contemporary Music sounds. He is often requested to lead Praise and Worship workshops as well as conduct choir workshops.<br><br>In addition to working on his own long-awaited recording. Josh provides vocal coaching services, has appeared as a featured lead vocalist on projects, including most recently the live recording of Anthony McBeth and the United Praise Chorale (Houston, Texas), and has recorded as well as arranged background vocals for several other projects.<br><br>Make no mistake about it: Josh Hurt is on the move, and he is not looking back. Since the very first time he heard Kim Burrell’s voice at the COGIC AIM Convention, it was clear to Josh that he wanted to be a singer and inspire others as he was likewise inspired that evening. Josh was later blessed to receive invitations to share his gift as a background vocalist for artists such as Josh Groban and Leandria Johnson. Additional opportunities soon came for him to share the stage with numerous gospel and inspirational artists, such as Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Jessica Reedy, Micah Stampley and Youthful Praise.<br><br>After walking away from what could have been a tragic automobile accident in early 2015. Josh credits God’s hand of deliverance for giving him a new lease on life.
