Ulanday Toms Singer/Songwriter/Actress talks about being in the music industry, being a single mother, being part of a reality series #FaceTheMusic and more!<br><br>Bio<br><br>Glenda Ulanday Toms was born on January 31,1987 in Prince Georges County, MD to the late Queen Esther Franklin and Funk singer, Gary Toms of the Gary Toms Empire. At the age of 2, Ulanday began singing in her church choir at First Baptist Church of Guilford, where she continued to sing until her college days. Ulanday’s first performance was at her 5th grade graduation where she sanged R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly.” <br>Being inspired by singer, songwriter, and actress Brandy; Ulanday entered and won singing competitions while attending school. For two years in a row, Toms won the “Showtime at the Apollo” talent competition at Hammond High School in Columbia, MD. She continued to sing while attending South Carolina State University, 2005 she met South Carolina's DJ Cleve. The two began working in the studio to prepare for South Carolina State University’s Talent Showcase and Miss Alpha Phi Alpha in 2006. <br>After her performances around campus, Ulanday established a name for herself, which provided her the opportunity to sing back up for Motown Records’ recording artist Lenny Williams and Gospel group Mary Mary at her university’s homecoming event. A year later, Ulanday received a singing scholarship, and transferred to Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. <br>In 2012, Ulanday released her first single “Hey DJ” with Southeast Styles record label in Washington, DC. To pursue her singing and songwriting career, Toms moved to Atlanta, GA in 2013 where she began working with Powerhouse Muzik Group. He went on to sign a professional career with the Houston Oilers, Dallas Cowboys and played 7 years in the European Leagues before returning to his home town to finish his career “San Antonio Texans”. In 2006, his company, All Sports administered the strength and conditioning program for the East vs West Shriners’s college senior bowl. In 2008-09, All Sports administered the strength and conditioning program for the Division II college Senior Cactus Bowl All Star game in Kingsville. Today All Sports Speed and Conditioning continues to train athletes to elevate their athletic performance to the next level in all sports.
