“Tall Poppy Syndrome” with Ali Brown… this week on Glambition™ Radio

Glambition® Radio with Ali Brown show

Summary:
Have you ever been criticized for your dreams? For your business ideas? For trying to be your best? Of course you have! It’s just part of life.
On this week’s Glambition Radio episode, I’m getting personal… sharing some of my (stressful, hurtful) experiences that kept me up at night in the early years of my business. It happens to all of us, and I’m sharing this with you because I want you to know that it’s okay to feel vulnerable.
For entrepreneurs, the more we step into success, the more we step into leadership. And for women, this is where things can get a little uncomfortable, because we feel exposed.
When you are starting and growing your business—as you step into your personal power—everything does feel personal, especially when you start hearing from people who have very clear opinions on what you do and how you’re doing it.
On a professional level, we as entrepreneurs have to deal with criticism. There’s constructive criticism, which helps us improve our business. And there’s downright mean criticism. Personal attacks from people who lash out simply because they want to make themselves feel better.
They want to see you “knocked back down” to where you started. You’re a Tall Poppy, and they want to cut you down.

On this week’s episode of Glambition Radio, I talk about “Tall Poppy Syndrome” and how to handle comments that come from people who are NOT looking out for you.
Being true to yourself and letting your own light shine is your birthright, and it’s a requirement on your path to happiness and success. If you’ve struggled with criticism (and hey, we all have) I know you’re going to love this week’s episode of Glambition Radio.
Go here to listen now on iTunes.
Love and success,

P.S.
