Summit immediately caught my eye. This fantastic 2-day Conference with influential female speakers brings women together to improve their lives and the lives of women all over the world. It partners with organizations like the UN Foundation, Merck, and The Wall Street Journal, and is designed to appeal to women from all walks of life and Claudia Chan is the entrepreneur behind this event as well as the founder and CEO of S.H.E. Global Media.<br> Hear how she came up with the idea and launched it by clicking the play button at the top of this page. <br> The daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, Claudia’s father moved here with just $7 in his pocket. She watched her parents build their own business together, as equals. They taught her by example to ‘just go for it’. She never questioned if she could start a business, so when she was 23, she just “went for it” and nine years later she had built a multi-million dollar media/nightlife and networking business called iLounge.<br> But, when she hit her 30s, Claudia realized she was lacking passion in her work, and it began a pretty dark time for her. She decided to take the leap, leave behind the business she built, and find a way to make an important impact with the rest of her career. Grateful for her own empowerment that allowed her to become the successful entrepreneur she was, she decided to share the gift, and created S.H.E. Global Media and the now renowned S.H.E. summit.<br> Claudia is a powerhouse! In our conversation, we discovered we had a lot in common. We both went to all-women’s colleges in Massachusetts, and we both had to ‘breakdown’ before we made the ‘breakthrough’ that allowed us to take the first steps toward success in our businesses and personal lives.<br> On this edition of Glambition Radio, you’ll hear how Claudia never questioned IF she could accomplish anything, she just DID it!
