In our times there seems to be much confusion, even within the Church, over what has come to be known as the Charismatic Renewal or the Charismatic Movement, sometimes called Pentecostalism. This movement is a false spirituality which originated outside of the Catholic Church and has numerous negative effects on the Faith, ultimately causing the weakening or loss of the Faith altogether.
