Episode #69: We discuss Star Wars: ANDOR eps 1-3, ‘The Last of Us’ Trailer, the Deadpool/Wolverine Announcement, and/or Other News | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:10

The ‘Verse! is a unique place. While it is full of fangirls and fanboys who love to celebrate their favorite cinematic universes, they’re also honest and fair about the content they cover. If they love something, you’ll know. If they don’t, trust me you’ll know. If they disagree , they certainly let eachother know. Andor is no exception. As they discuss the story of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) in a galaxy far, far away… one that feels like the least Star Warsy of all Star Wars to date, they don’t hold back. While leaning toward positive overall, the takes cover are quite diverse and just who lands where on the meter may surprise you. It is an interesting conversation and as you know, this is just the beginning. Plus they cover some of the biggest cinematic universe news, including the Deadpool/Wolverine announcement, The Last of Us trailer drop, our plans fro NYCC and much more. See them both on our Twitter page. While you're there, give us a follow us :) on both Twitter or Instagram @TheVerseCast where we also post news and announcements about the pod. If you stick around after the credits, you might find a joke being burned into the ground… and hopefully a laugh or two also. Enjoy episode 69 (dude!) Episode Photo: Lucasfilm

Extended ‘Verse! Interview #59.5: Bisha K. Ali - 'Ms. Marvel' Showrunner, Head Writer & Executive Producer | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 00:45:49

'Ms. Marvel' Showrunner, Head Writer, and Executive Producer, Bisha K. Ali steps into The 'Verse! to discuss her work on the Disney+ Marvel series. We cover her origin story as a video gamer and dreamer to Hollywood writer to 'Loki' writer all the way to head writer on 'Ms. Marvel.' Ali's work on the series has focused on telling a superhero story we can all relate to, her main character Kamala Khan is a teenager growing up in America who just happens to have superpowers. We will not put spoilers in this description, but the further the series goes on, the more it becomes about family - it is quite beautiful. The 'Verse! Squad covers a lot with Ali, the difference between the comic books powers and the version Kamala has on the series, working with Iman Vellani, taking the series from Jersey City to Pakistan, video games, and so much more. We close with our Furious 4 questions, a lightning round with some tough choices. We had a great time with Bisha. Give it a listen and be sure to watch 'Ms. Marvel' now streaming in its entirety on Disney+.

Episode #59: 'Thor: Love and Thunder' Review, LOVE or BLUNDER? - plus some poetry, of course | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:03:35

In this episode The 'Verse! Squad gathers to judge if the latest Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder is worthy of praise or should be smashed to pieces with Mjölnir. Unfortunately, Bridget and BURT (our cockney-slinging robot) are still down on earth for CockneyCon22. They will be back next week. For those unfamiliar The 'Verse! handles reviews in a unique way; we start with our original poetry to tease our thoughts on the film (don't worry, it is much more fun than it sounds), we follow that with a spoiler-free take on the film, followed by a spoiler-full review that includes Easter eggs, connections to the comics and theories. The new our very own letter grading system, plus a 'star' system to rate it which has taken the form of everything from spider legs (classic) to starfish. Download and enjoy. Next episode we interview the wonderful Bisha K. Ali, head writer and executive producer of Marvel's marvelous new series, Ms. Marvel. It is an interesting and fun conversation you will really enjoy. All this and more can be found in The 'Verse! You can reach out to us on Twitter @TheVerseCast.
