No. 79: The Weekly Walk: Season 3 Episode 3 Thank you for tuning into our show, The Weekly Walk. This week we're doing our best to get back on a regular rundown like we have been doing in the past. However, I (Matt) decided to try and implement some tech this week with the rundown via my new iPad, and well, that didn't work out so great.  Needless to say, the iPad is gonna get shelved until I can figure that out. We started this week's episode out with RAT FARTS, and after my admission of some pretty bad fo pas, I read a letter I wrote to my dear friend Neal "Rohrs" Rohrbach. What Happened this past week: Harris English was the big winner in Hawaii. He beat Wakeen Kneeman in a playoff on the first hole. And yes, we mentioned the fact he was chillin' with Sergio versus getting ready for a playoff. FedEx Cup Standings through the Tournament of Champions: Dustin Johnson Harris English Justin Thomas Bryson DeChambeau Patrick Cantlay OWGR through Monday 1/11/2021 Dustin Johnson Jon Rahm Justin Thomas Xander Schauffele Colin Marikawa Chasing Daylight LOCKS Results Joe (Xander Schauffele) 105pts + 30 Bonus points Matt (Cameron Champ) 24.25pts Jeremy (Viktor Hovland) 24.25pts Take-Two on QUIZ TIME We enjoyed the trivia last week, so I brought in some more to try and stump the guys. This week it was in regards to the current PGA Tour Season and the FedEx Cup standings.  The SNGA Winter Classic at Cascata First off, congrats to Joe for finishing 6th place in the Net Division. He played great, and the BLACK CARD to the Cascata Pro Shop was well deserved. On the other hand, Matt had a nightmare of a first-round and thankfully righted the ship and turned in a somewhat respectable card for the final day. What's happening this week? The PGA makes its 14th start of the season with a full-field event at the SONY OPEN.    The LPGA Tour, PGA Champions Tour, and the Korn Ferry Tour are all still until the Legends tee it up next week in Hawaii. Look at this Instagram: Three more solid choices for our favorite social media shoutout segment. Matt - @grindin_golf_co Jeremy - @slomoswinglibrary Joe: @jeffkmarsh VIVA LAS VEGAS There was a mighty big news story that broke over the weekend! Breakthrough Golf Technology, also known as BGT, agreed to sponsor the VGN Tour putting series the KING OF THE GREEN!! This was very exciting for us, and even more thrilling is we will have Blair Philips, the man behind the madness of the Stability Golf Shafts on the show in our interview series. That will air next week! LOCK CONTEST UPDATE We have a new way we're earning bonus points now. It's too much to type so just listen in. Here are our picks for the SONY OPEN: Matt - Russell Henley 33/1 Joe - Ryan Palmer 28/1 Jeremy - SungJae Im 16/1 Only Joe and Matt can get bonus points per the new rules because Jeremy's pick doesn't qualify. Thanks for hanging with us through the holidays and the chaos. Was a lot hectic on my end but I'm grateful to have a couple of awesome friends like Joe and Jeremy! Matt - 1,136.00 Joe - 517.55 Jeremy - 483.267 Nothing has changed in the OWGR or the FedEx Cup Race.  E79: Jake Hutt, PGA joins us for some golf talk for this interview series | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3594

No. 77: Season 3 Episode 1  Anytime we can get a certified IG-famous or Instafamous personality on the show, you know we're going to jump at the bit! What I didn't know was how absolutely entertaining Jake was going to be while on the air.   If you're not following Jake (@jakehuttgolf), you are truly doing yourself a disservice. Since Joe featured Jake on Look at this Instagram a few weeks back, I've been totally enamored with his quick and witty way of getting some extremely valuable information out to the masses. His videos are quick, on topic, to the point, but most of all, THEY WILL HELP YOU PLAY BETTER GOLF. And, who doesn't want that?   Beyond his Instagram world, though, we found some fantastic details about Jake and his life with the game.  Much like others, we have interviewed recently, Jake is doing some good with his instacelebrity status and is helping raise money for kids in Uganda to help them play golf.   Click HERE to be taken to the Clubs for Kids Fundraiser and help Jake reach his goal!  We also learned about DryveBox, which is a unique way that Jake and his partners will be bringing golf to the people, not people to golf. Yeah, that's a headscratcher, but listen in, and you'll understand!  Then as we were chatting, Jake broke down how the stats from GameForge can help you play better golf. And then he completely blew my mind when he talked about putting and a metronome: such good stuff and an awesome episode.   We want to thank Jake for coming to the show. It was a blast getting to know him more and learn about all the things he's up to and what's going down in 2021!  Be sure to give him a follow and stay on the lookout for DryveBox in a city near you!   About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog.  E76: Season Finale, Looking ahead to 2021, Look at this Instagram, DEEP Thoughts, So Long 2020! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2774

No. 76: Season 2 Episode 56 The year has come to an end and we're thrilled you've chosen to take some time out of your life to hang with us! While 2020 will go down in history as arguably the shittiest year ever, we're maintaining our optimism that there are great things to come in 2021! There wasn't a lot to talk about this week as far as professional golf goes so we covered where we played this past week and what's ahead for the New Year's weekend.  Look at this Instagram:  As always, we had another great selection of Instagram accounts we think you should be following.  Matt - @davesansomephotography  Joe - @fried_egg_golf  Jeremy - @golfheads No Viva Las Vegas... Instead, it was an elongated DEEP THOUGHTS WITH STAT GUY OK, maybe it wasn't deep thoughts and it was more of what everyone else is doing, a year wrap-up and stuff. We casually chatted about our highlights and lowlights of 2020. That was it for this week's show. Season 1 of The Weekly Walk has come to a close and next week, in 2021, Season 2 will officially kick-off as the PGA Tour makes its return.  We'll have our locks for the week, talk in regards to Kapalua, and much more as we're ready to get the new year rolling! If you tuned in anytime in the last 23 weeks. ALL OF US THANK YOU VERY MUCH!  We hope to continue making the show better each and every week and with your support, it's 100% possible!   About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog.  E75: Rat Farts, Slow time of the year for Golf, Deep Thoughts, The VGN, Viva Las Vegas, Look at this Instagram | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3468

No. 75: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 55 We're smack dab in the middle of the dull season for professional golf. At least we are now, for one final curtain call, blessed with the tandem of Tiger and Charlie Woods. The PNC Championship was a hit, and thankfully for us, it gave us something to talk about after Aarik Greenely set the podcast bar EXTREMELY high with last week's episode.   Rat Farts  We had a few during our last episode, and one we didn't mention cause STAT GUY missed it. Thanks to @itslikeimsayin for calling me out on a MAJOR RAT FART. We'll give him credit during next week's show.  What happened this last week.  We covered a few of the things that took place this past week, besides Tiger and his MiniMe. Most notably was Joe hitting "THE SHOT" out at Palm Valley on Sunday.   Look at this Instagram  This week, some solid selections for our social media segment where we show some love to the excellent golf accounts.   Jeremy: @torquegolf  Joe: @jakehuttgolf  Mathew: @puttviewbooks  Viva Las Vegas  This week it was all about the VGN (Vegas Golf Network) and what's happening in 2021. If you are a local golfer in the Las Vegas area, check out what we're doing. Click HERE to learn more.   Deep Thought with Stat Guy  It's not an every-episode thing, but during these slower times, and before we start with the player profiles and Wanna Get Away segments, DEEP THOUGHTS WITH STAT GUY will be around here and there. This week we discussed what was going on in our golf brains after Aarik came in and shook all of us with his insight of the game. It was a fun discussion.  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog This show is for the casual golf fan who occasionally likes to nerd out on the game's different topics.  E74: Studio guest Aarik Greenley, QBD Shootout & the Women's US Open, Look at this Instagram, Tour Talk | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4667

No. 74: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 54 The in-studio guest barrage continues this week with an extraordinary guest. Former Tour Rep from Adams Golf, Aarik Greenley, joined us for some outstanding golf talk and insights. This is one you're going to want to bookmark and save; it's good! We also had our typical Weekly Walk segments.  Tour talk was short and sweet.  We wrapped up the QBD Shootout and also talked about the US Women's Open.  The PNC Event takes place this week, and ALL eyes will be on the team of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie. At least that's where all our eyes will be!  Look at this Instagram  This week we featured:    Joe - @leetrevinofans  Jeremy - @caddienetwork  Matt - @josh.cnccreations  There is no PGA Event, so no picks this week.  Viva Las Vegas  We played a lot of golf this past week. Joe's took a walk around TPC Summerlin. The three of us played Cascata in some rather chilly, windy conditions. Joe and Jeremy played in the Sunday group out at Angel Park, and then Aarik and I played at Revere right before recording this.  It was an absolute pleasure having Aarik over for the show. His insight and golf mind is a beautiful thing, and anytime I can play the role of a song and soak up some of that goodness, I jump at the opportunity.  You'll hear from his mellow candor he's a pretty "cool Cat" when it comes to golf. He has a sweet sexy AF smooth swing that absolutely sends the ball, and it's a blast anytime I get to spend with him out on the course. AND he helped me with a major alignment issue I was having, and I threw together a few good rounds while he was here! So thank you, Aarik, for coming and hanging with us! I can't wait to tee it up with you again!  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog.  This show is for the casual golf fan who occasionally likes to nerd out on the game's different topics. No. 73: Season 2 Episode 53 I've wanted to do this interview since the start of this podcast. So you can imagine how excited I was to finally get Josh on the phone and talk about his brand CNC Creations. Josh is an incredible talent when it comes to creating unique ball markers, and it doesn't end there. Kingdom Putters is the other brand he has launched, and they have BIG plans for 2021.  I want to thank Josh for taking the time out of his busy schedule to chat about how he got started and how CNC Creations came to be. We're looking forward to the new putters in 2021 and, of course, the MAJOR MARKERS! Be sure to give CNC Creations a follow. Y ou can see the amazing work Josh and his team are putting out by following them on Instagram: @josh.cnccreations. Thanks for tuning in.  E72: Slow week on Tour, Women's US Open, Look at this Instagram, Viva Las Vegas, Deep Thoughts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3520

No. 72: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 52 For this week's episode, the main focus is our VGN Match we had at Revere. We're not quite back to a fully structured show. The move to the Breakfast Ball Custom Shop was a little challenging, and I was more concerned with audio quality than content. But after editing this episode, I think we'll be good to go moving forward. At least until the second week of January.   There’s no “official” PGA Tour event that involves FedEx Cup points, so no locks this week. Be sure to watch some of the Women’s US Open and all the Euro Tour finals.  Look at this Instagram A solid segment this episode with three accounts we’re sure you’ll love, especially if you’re a putter junkie.  Matt: @flatstickfocusputting  Joe: @milkygolf  Jeremy: @seeme_golf  Viva Las Vegas  The Vegas spotlight was all about our VGN outing at Revere. 16 members of the Network showed for this Modified Stableford event, and we had an absolute blast. Robbie Knick was the winner for this outing, and he took home the coin. Next up for the VGN is an event at TPC Las Vegas next month.   Deeps thoughts with the Chasing Daylight Podcast Adam, from the VGN, phoned in with an issue in regards to his play of late. So we had him sit down on the couch for a little golf mental therapy!   We’ll be back next week with a recap of Joe’s round at TPC Summerlin, our round out at Cascata for the winter classic warm-up, and there’s an excellent chance we’ll have another special guest in studio for EP 71 Until then, look for the next Chasing Daylight Interview to hit the airwaves next Monday featuring Josh from CNC Creations!  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog, brought to you by the Good Walk Coffee Co.  This show is for the casual golf fan who occasionally likes to nerd out on the game's different topics. No. 71: Interview Series: Season 2 Episode 51 What a fun interview this was. Andrew and Mike from the wildly popular Instagram account, @beautifulgolfcourses, joined Joe and me for some excellent golf talk in regards to their HUGE success. No. 70: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 50 This week's episode was a fun one! We had another in-studio guest. Carll, a fellow VGN'r, joined us for the show and during the Vegas segment, we chatted some golf and went over the upcoming Stableford event at The Revere Golf Club.   There was no PGA event that took place this past week We didn't have much to discuss as far as professional golf goes. No. 68: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 48 In this episode of The Weekly Walk, we covered the final Major of 2020, and oh, what a Masters it was.  First off, huge prop the Masters.com and The Masters' App for absolutely killing it with the coverage. This is the future of golf, in my opinion. It was brilliant. What a win for DJ! There was a ton to talk about, and we kicked off the conversation talking about an emotional Dustin Johson and how much not having Patrons at the event made it an unusual tournament.  Our picks for The Masters  Jeremy led the way with Justin Thomas.  Joe came in second place with Xander Schauffele, and  Matt brought up the rear with his Bubba pick.  DAMN YOU, BUBBA!  Look at this Instagram  Not to anyone surprise, one of us chose @themasters for their pick this week.   Matt - @coyotespringsgolfclub  Joe - @ramshillgolfclub  Jeremy - @themasters  Coming up this week  PGA Tour is in Sea Island, Georgia, for the RSM Classic at the Sea Island Resort (Seaside Course)  Korn Ferry Tour - First half of the season has concluded  PGA Tour Champions - The season has concluded  LPGA - Pelican Women's Championship to be played at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, FL This is an inaugural event.  Matt is playing in the Clark County Amateur out at Boulder Creek this weekend.  Joe and Jeremy both have rounds planned. Royal Links, Rio Secco, Bear's Best are all in the rotation, so we'll have plenty to talk about on next week's show.   Viva Las Vegas  Our locks for the RSM Classic And if you haven't done so, please leave us a review on iTunes; it really helps us grow the show by getting it out to more people!  Matt - Kevin Kisner 30/1  Joe - Joaquin Niemann 35/1  Jeremy - Sung Jae Im 20/1  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog.  This show is for the casual golf fan who occasionally likes to nerd out on the game's different topics. What happened this past week:  There was a PGA Tournament in Bermuda [insert crickets] Congrats to Brian Gay for taking home the win. Not bad for a 48-year-old.
