Her plans are interrupted by a series of events and are further complicated when she hires an Irish innkeeper to take her to her boyfriend in Dublin.Yet another poorly reviewed Rom-Com on the pod you say? We'll be putting Joe Roth's 2004 film, starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis, into our hypothetical theatre! Based on John Grisham's 2001 novel 'Skipping Christmas', the film follows a couple who decide to skip Christmas one year since their daughter is away, much to the chagrin of their neighbours. The couple are then sent into a panicked backtrack when their daughter calls them on Christmas Eve to announce she is coming home for Christmas after all, and with a boy no less.We're not a film critisism podcast so aplogies for how much we bash the movie in this episode. In 15 Million Merits, Bing, who has recently inhereted 'credits' from a relative, meets Abi, an excellent singer, and convinces her to participate in a talent game show to escape the slave-like world around them.
