In this episode, I spoke with Mariana Royer, the founder of a Quebec based business called Bio ForeXtra. They make active ingredients for the cosmetic industry from otherwise waste products within the lumber industry here in Canada. We spoke about her business, her research on trees and their usefulness in cosmetic products, and how her business is adding more value into the wood industry.

In this episode, I sat down with Jen from the Truth Beauty Co., a Canadian natural beauty boutique that has two locations in Waterloo and Guelph, and has been open for 8 years and counting. While this interview was a step away from the typical science content on the podcast, brand building and business is another layer to consider in the cosmetic industry and when you're purchasing or formulating products.
