D-backs have outfield injury to overcome again | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1310

Welcome to Locked on MLB, the national baseball podcast as part of the Locked On Podcast Network hosted by Tommy Stokke.  Today's show discusses the Arizona Diamondbacks dealing with yet another outfield injury, which seems to happen every season. This time it's to newly-acquired Steven Souza, who was injured diving for a ball in the outfield. While nothing definitive is known about his shoulder injury, it looks like he could miss some time for the D-backs. Who will replace him and will the D-backs be able to overcome the injury early in the season? Greg Holland is still a free agent, and teams always need relievers. Who will step up and make a move for the closer? Holland saved 41 games last year for the Rockies for his terrible second half could be scaring teams away. The Cardinals and Mariners are two of the teams that should give Holland a call, but some others make sense, too.  The show ends with a look around the league at notable performances and injuries, including Jake Arrieta's Phillies debut, Michael Conforto's big day for the Mets and Matt Kemp's role with the Dodgers. The Athletics have another injured pitcher; so do the Mets. The Indians appear to have avoided a scare, though. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

What can break the Dodgers? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1393

Welcome to episode 3 of Locked on MLB with your host Tommy Stokke. Locked on MLB is part of the Locked on Sports Podcast Network.  Today's episode takes a look at the Los Angeles Dodgers and Justin Turner's injury. Will the Dodgers regret not going after a certain free agent recently picked up? Where could the Dodgers go run this season after their World Series run last year? MLB released a list of top-10 lineups on Wednesday, and the Oakland Athletics came in at No. 10. Their inclusion on the list seemed to confused a lot of people, which is confusing because it's a powerful lineup. The Astros topped the list at No. 1.  The show comes to a close with a look at injuries and notable performances as fantasy drafts get finalized before Opening Day.  For more information on Locked on MLB or for advertising opportunities, email at stokke@lockedonmlb.com.  Learn more about your ad choices. Was it the right decision for the Braves? How can Major League Baseball fix the problem with service time manipulation?  Also on the show, Alex Cobb has reportedly agreed to sign with the Baltimore Orioles on a four-year deal worth $57 million. Waiting paid off for Cobb, but was this a smart deal for the Orioles? The show ends with a look around spring training at some of the injuries around baseball and who could be at risk of missing Opening Day.  Find more Locked On MLB at lockedonmlb.com. Suarez signed a 7-year, $66-million extension with an option that could make it 8-years, $79 million. They're two different extensions, but they're both interesting in their own right.
