Today's episode is with Geoffrey " Spud" Sheehan. Spud talks about his win at the Wild Rag Classic aboard Mr Shiney Lights trained by Chris Dawson owned by Sheri Jamison. We talk about how Spud got his start into cutting, and most recently his crossover from cutting to the cow horse events.  

On today's episode the guys recap the fun and exciting time in Fort Worth for the 2019 NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes! Each of them talk about a few highlights during the show, and some fun moments as well as the schedule which I'm sure most of you know has been a topic of conversation. While at the cutting, Kirby Smith stopped by the Section K podcast area, provided by Cutting Horse Central. Phil talks about his run, winning the career Grand Slam of cutting, and his affinity for driving his race car while he's not training champions. In this episode the guys sit down with Beau Galyean, who just won the 5/6 yr old Open Super Stakes for the third time in a row! We talk to Beau about capping off his 3 peat in the 5/6 this time aboard the great stallion Rollz Royce owned by Tom and Lisa Guinn. "Super G", a nickname Collbran has given Beau, talks about his most recent success aboard "Royce", how family has helped him be successful, and things that have molded his journey to becoming "Super G".  

Brent Erickson, the 5/6 Limited Open Champion at the Super Stakes riding This Bentleys Hot owned by Dacole Investment Company from Reno, Nevada.

On this weeks episode, the Section K crew talks about the 2019 NCHA Kit Kat Sugar Super Stakes starting on Thursday, and places to eat while you're in Fort Worth. They touch briefly on the most recent hire of the Executive Director for the NCHA, Kirk Slaughter. Kaden and Cody had a chat with professional cutting horse trainer and 2019 5/6 yr old Open Champion at the Cattlemen's Cutting, Casey Green. A face that you generally see during most if not all the herds of cows at all the NCHA triple crown events. Finally, the boys update their busted brackets, the Section K bracket pool leader board, and some exciting games or teams they saw over the first weekend of the NCAA tournament.
