If you want to be twenty-five percent happier, you just need to start practicing one thing--you don't even need essential oils for it, though they are a nice bonus. I notice when I don't do this that I have way less patience, I get frustrated more easily, and I just don't feel as great. This ONE THING helps you to literally "vibe higher". Listen in and feel free to make the blend and share with your friends! I am not a party girl. I’ve never really been a party girl. I did sneak out of the house when I was seventeen on a few different occasions to make out with my sort of boyfriend/best friend and play tag/night games at the elementary school with all the neighborhood kids and I skipped class a lot the last month of high school after moving out of my parent’s house. I drank a few times when I was nineteen. But that’s about as wild as it got. Now you know all of my sins ;) so what does it mean to be “wild”? When I talk about “wild”, I’m talking about our natural state. The way we were before our cultures changed us. Rewilding is technically a term used in conservation; meaning to restore the land to its natural state. But we can do the same thing with ourselves. I’m not saying that we need to become hunter/gatherers again, but rewilding as a soul thing. So here we are, talking about the hippie side of rewilding. To do list: Hug trees Plant seeds Save the butterflies and the bees // @folkandco I also want to add, don't spray your dandelions please! Without pollinators, our plant species die too. Like my friend Carey from @hawiverhomestead said, we need pollinators for our ECOSYSTEMS and we can’t live without the benefits these ecosystems provide, yet we’re sitting by while they’re destroyed. Not to be dramatic or anything, but if our ecosystems die, we die. Original blog post here: https://www.folkandco.com/blog/eight-ways-to-save-the-pollinators
How many of you deal with stress on a daily basis? Do you know how to manage it? Because chronic stress leads to health issues. The Mayo Clinic says that chronic stress can lead to : Anxiety Depression Digestive problems Headaches Heart disease Sleep problems Weight gain Memory and concentration impairment Thinking about chronic stress makes me stressed. But the good news is, if you're open to it there are natural ways to support and reduce stress (yes, essential oils are one)! Listen for a couple of special announcements too! **btw, special announcement at the end is valid on 02/18/19 only**
A question from me to me, but also from me to you. When did you stop being brave? When was the last time you did something that made you feel brave? Plus, a practical essential oil tip for any of you who hike or spend time outdoors ♥
A kinda hippie episode featuring a poem I wrote last year and some info on magnolia essential oil! There are going to be times in your life where things feel really dark--I love how nature shows us that there is beauty on the other side.
Even if you've been using essential oils for years, you might be making this common mistakes! I know I still do sometimes :) In this episode we also cover the three ways to use doTERRA's essential oils, plus some common sense safety tips ♥ *shout-out to Joseph from @imacocoageek for suggesting this topic!*
Okay, a bit of DRAMA there, but let's get into it! I say this thing and apparently it's pretty triggering for some people. I am a witch. Maybe you are too. We are: The wise ones the ones that heal The ones that guide life into the world The ones who aren’t afraid of the storms Grab some Balance and come learn a little witchy history!
Companies see that people want essential oils, so it seems that all the stores are jumping in on this quote “trend” because where we see health and less-toxic living, they see “MONEY”. So they buy from brokers who rip-off farmers, dilute their oils without telling you, fill them with synthetically made oils, and sell them for a fraction of the cost. "Imagine a company that pays a fair, living wage to their farmers and harvesters; a company that partners with these small scale farms rather than buying them out ..." Let's talk about doTERRA.
"I thought the reason people got better was because we had doctors." This may surprise you, but I didn't grow up in a holistic family, but now that I use essential oils, I can't imagine them NOT being part of my life. Though there are a few common misconceptions I always here from people who are anti-essential oils.
**just FYI I drop a swear** if you have kiddos and don't want them to hear, put some headphones on! Our team is doing a "powerhouse challenge" and it's been less than a week, but I noticed that I am doing this more...and I didn't even realize that I had stopped.
Okay, this ended up being so much shorter than I thought BUT it's fine. I'm fine. I'm excited to keep learning how to make these podcasts and fine tune things, so thanks for sticking it out for now! You know how 2018 tried to kill everyone? Or anyone it could get it's hands on? It's OKAY to say you had a bad year. But it's time to say goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019.
