In this episode we discuss the metacognitive cafe online discussion forums developed by Judith Littlejohn, an instructional designer and historian from Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York. These discussion forums are designed to help students improve their metacognition and learning skills while also fostering an increased sense of community in the course. Judith is a 2014 recipient of the State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service and the 2016 recipient of the State University of New York’s FACT2 Award for Excellence in Instruction.
