The more time that passes, the more I realize just how "constructed" this reality is. That no one actually knows what they're doing, that there are no rules, that we're all carrying loads of ancestral and childhood trauma (whether you're conscious of it or not), and that how many view the world is entirely dependent on how they were raised, what they were taught during those years, what they chose to believe then (and continue to believe now), and how they've come to define "reality" on both an individual and a collective level. This is one such perspective: The Universe according to KM. I decided to record a podcast on what I think and what I know and what I've been shown in and by nonphysical, because honestly, trying to write this caption is extremely difficult. Sometimes speaking the actual words is easier than typing them. WHAT IS ROOTED IN FEAR WILL ONLY KEEP YOU HERE... Where all my spiritual seekers at?!

This past week has held such a steep learning curve—but it’s work I’m willing to do and committed to doing for the long haul. I know that I’m a white woman. I know that this episode is through a white lens, a white perspective, because it’s coming from me. But if it’s something that can act as a mirror for you to reflect on your own past experiences, then it’s worth sharing. Even if it’s imperfect. Even if I don’t use the correct terminology. Even if it’s painful and uncomfortable to call myself (and my race) out... This conversation is important and needs to be had. Take a deep breath because today, we’re talking about the heteropatriarchy, white feminism, and racism—all in ONE story. So for those who think we “don’t have a problem”... I sincerely hope you take the time to listen to this episode. You're likely the one who needs it most. I’m not here for “but this is how it’s always been done”. That time is LONG gone, thank the heavens for that. I’m here to shine a light on our biases. To consider new ways of thought. To shift the paradigm. To seed light all over this beautiful planet. To remind us all that LOVE is the language. To poke and prod until you remember who you really are. We are HUMAN. We are on one team, #teamhuman

I want to preface this podcast episode by saying that it was recorded pre-pandemic times—actually, just a week or so before the pandemic was declared. And so, it just didn’t feel appropriate to be talking about haters and negativity when an unknown virus was running rampant throughout the world, ya feel?

What’s YOUR story? You know, the one that plays in the background of your day? Is it a story of “shoulds”? A story of obligations? A story of other-care vs. self-care? A story of “be better, do better, I’m not good enough/there yet”? Whether we like it or not, we all have subconscious programming. We learned a whole lotta sh*t when we were younger that we can now choose to unlearn, especially if it’s damaging. It’s interesting, isn’t it? We do things because we feel like we should.
