It was such an honor to have Rachael Jayne Groover, bestselling author and CEO/founder of The Awakened School, join us on this week’s podcast. We talked about some very powerful feminine concepts like the womb space, the energetic center of a woman. When a woman is in this space, you don’t have to know her very well to trust her and connect with her.

No matter what kind of business you’re running, I have some timeless principles that will help you scale quickly and bring the right people on board. Building a team that’s bigger than you will give you the opportunity to enjoy the four freedoms of money, time, relationships, and purpose. If everything in your business (deals, offers, sales, marketing) depends on you, these freedoms will never be yours.

I attended a Mastermind last week with an amazing group of female 7-figure business owners founded by my former mentor, Ali Brown. One of the advisors who presented at the event was Kara Goldin, the founder and CEO of Hint, the largest private beverage company in the U.S. I can’t stop thinking about some of the powerful things she shared, and I don’t want to keep them to myself.

Sara Larkins worked in special education, then dabbled in technology, and then a car accident changed everything. She tells the harrowing story of knowing she was about to die, experiencing a miracle, then awakening to an insatiable need to embark on a spiritual quest. 

If you’re reading this right now, you’re most likely a leader. Leaders have that incredible pioneering spirit of going first, right? Preparing the ground, opening up new ways for others to follow. I couldn’t be more excited about this new phase of leadership I’m in right now. As things grow and expand in amazing ways, I’ve carved out time to reflect back on the past 18 years of leading a company (alongside my husband, Jack).

Jonna Cohen grew up as a child of hippies who taught her that money was a necessary evil. You kept what you needed and shared the rest. The giving part of that equation has played a huge role in Jonna’s life. But it took longer for her to expand her vision and see money as a powerful tool to create both personal success and opportunities for others. Ellie is the daughter of immigrants and earned her first paycheck from harvesting crops at age 12. Supporting her mom and siblings at such a young age paved the way for the resilience and perseverance she’s known for today. 

At the beginning of every year, Jack and I sit down and come up with a theme for the coming year. For a decade now, we’ve watched magic happen as the year progresses and our theme unfolds beautifully. Our 2020 theme was “Why Not Us, Why Not Now?” and we had one of our most amazing breakthrough years ever, even as the world collapsed around us.
