Ghostly

Summary: The truth is often hard to find. This can be especially true when talking about ghost stories and paranormal events. Ghostly Podcast takes a deeper look into these stories in a bi-weekly podcast. Each episode, we tell a ghost story – one that some believe is true. Talk about the history and then, we will debate the facts of that story. From the most popular ones - to ones that are more obscure, each story will be explored from/using whatever evidence can be found. Expect arguments, jokes, and, sometimes, maybe, an agreement.

Ghostly’s Exorcism: Four October Episodes to Unleash Your Demonic Soul SPECIAL GUEST: Bob After Dark Bob AndersonOh, hey there! My name is Bob Anderson, and I host the paranormal show Bob After Dark. I became interested in the paranormal at a very young age. It all started with watching Unsolved Mysteries as a kid, and the rest was history. As I got older, my interests grew from just ghost stories. Cryptozoology, Lore, Extra Terrestrial, and even the Occult have all gained a fancy from me. Now, I’m on a quest to teach people the stuff their textbooks do not. Give them an idea of what is out there that can not be explained. Anthony Di Fabio My name is Anthony Di Fabio, I was born and raised in beautiful Australia. As a child I spent most of my time immersed in nature, either on a beach watching and listening to the waves crashing onto the shore, to the stunning evenings where the moonlight and stars would seem to paint pictures across the water and sky, or in the wilderness reserves where I would feel an absolute powerhouse of energy. My explanation of these feelings of oneness and connection to the land would come many years later, as I found out about my Indigenous roots. I learnt at an early age that everything is connected in some form or another and we are all forms of energy constantly shifting to different vibrations. I’ve always been interested in the paranormal, encountering strange phenomena as a child and pre teen that I couldn’t explain. I dove into the occult studying as much as possible. Ancient ways of daily life and different religions/ practices from across the globe sparked my interest and I found the beauty in those that I encountered. There are so many things on this plane of existence that are not explainable by our own rational. Those are the things that drive me. Cheers! Anthony. Want some more Ghostly? In Ghostly’s twenty-third episode, Pat, Rebecca, and special guest Mondo explore the life and afterlife of John Dillinger, one of the FBI’s first #1 Most Wanted criminals. Dillinger robbed banks during the Great Depression while styling himself as a Robin Hood figure. Not only did he escape capture many times, he also escaped jail when he was captured. After he was finally trapped and killed by the Division of Investigation (later known as the FBI) outside of the Biograph Theater in Chicago, many claim to have seen his ghost. Does Dillinger’s spirit still haunt this earth? Dillinger with mustache Questions explored in this episode: Who was John Dillinger? How did his life of crime start? Who was in his gang? How did he become so good at robbing banks? What made him different than other bank robbers? How did he escape capture so often? How did he escape from jail? When was he finally killed? Who betrayed him to the FBI? Where do people claim to see his ghost? What evidence is there that his ghost has been seen? What do people claim to see of his spirit?  022 Forever 27 Club | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:00:29

In Ghostly’s twenty-second episode, Pat and Rebecca explore the curse of the 27 Club. Over the last century, many young artists have died at the age of 27 and legend says this is because they are cursed due to their immense talent and fast lifestyle. Or maybe even a deal with the devil. Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse are seven of the most famous members of this club, and in this episode Pat and Rebecca tell their stories of fame, drugs, alcohol, and untimely deaths. Did the devil come for his due? WARNING: This episode contains topics that may be sensitive for some listeners. Forever 27 Pictures of Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Jean-Michel Basquiat Questions explored in this episode: What is the 27 Club? Who are the more famous members of the 27 Club? What happened to them that led to their deaths at the age of 27? Who is Robert Johnson and what is the story of The Crossroads? How did Robert Johnson influence the musicians that came after him? Are artists more likely to die at 27? What is the curse? Were these deaths natural, suicides, accidents, or the devil coming for his payment? Is the 27 Curse real or just a coincidence? And do their ghosts still haunt this earth? Jim Morrison’s Grave Ghost Image After the poll results, Pat and Rebecca embark on a different pattern this episode. This is a big story and even while only seven artists are explored, it takes both of them to deep dive into the history of each and tell the story of how they might be curse. And how each has a ghost story to tell. Time for the debate! For each of the seven artists, Pat and Rebecca debate if they were affected by the curse as well as discussing if their ghost stories are true.  Robert Johnson is often considered the first modern member of the 27 Club. His life was tragic and so was his death. The story of Robert Johnson is what gave birth to the curse, but it is the four deaths of Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison that create the idea of a 27 Club. Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse’s deaths have made sure that the story of the curse remains fresh in our minds. After debating each individual story, Pat and Rebecca discuss and debate the curse as a whole. Listen to help you decide your own vote. The Crossroads Now is the time to vote on this episode! Everyone in New Orleans knew who to go to for mojo bags and spells to fix their problems. But her legend didn’t die with her death in 1881. Ever since her death, Laveau has been seen all around New Orleans, at her home, at her tomb, and on the streets. Does Marie Laveau still haunt New Orleans? Marie Laveau’s House on St. Anne Street After the poll results, listen to Rebecca tell a ghost story inspired by Marie Laveau’s spirit. Then, listen to hear Pat give the history of voodoo and Marie Laveau. He also reveals some of his own history with spellcraft and voodoo. Time for the debate! Finally, there are stories of her spirit as a black mass hovering over her home and grave. Listen to Pat’s response to these claims as well as Pat and Rebecca’s rating of each piece of evidence.
