He helps with chores, predicts the future, doesn’t like to be seen, and sometimes burns your house down! Good times! Note that we do have a lot of tangents this week, so, sorry about that… Promos are from Blood on the Rocks and Ignorance Was Bliss. Check out the WWI collaboration we are a part of, produced by Blood on the Rocks, released TODAY!

 Episode 7 - Modern Folklore #1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:27:43

Join us for our first "modern folklore" episode! We narrate 3 stories as we delve into the world of No Sleeps, Creepypastas, and Let's Not Meets, which are the kinds of tales that folklore stems from. Things that are unexplained and a little creepy, things that might be real but we don't necessarily want them to be, things that keep us up at night or that we tell our children and grandchildren. We hope you enjoy!

 Episode 6 - Spooktacular Special Part 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:28

The spooky fun continues! October is our favorite time of year so we wanted to bring you something a little different, in the form of real-life ghost stories and creature encounters. Tales like these are the seeds that folklore springs from. We hope you enjoy them, because we certainly did! We have a special guest, which means there is more commentary, it's a little more casual, and we talk about things we usually don't touch on in our normal episodes - but, we love believers and skeptics just the same!

Some sources say The Grootslang (or Grote Slang, Dutch / Afrikaans for "Big Snake") is a GIANT cobra (40 feet / 12 meters long), and some differ and say it has the head of an elephant and the body of a snake. Either way, it lives in the Richtersveld in South Africa and hoards gems (especially diamonds).
