Episode 126: Mixed Messages About Money in the Orthodox World | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:03

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. What a week, and what a time we’re living in! I am sure everybody’s heart is more than a little bit broken. Before I start the show, I want to acknowledge the amount of pain that our country is in. I shared my really messy and unfiltered thoughts on the racism that still prevails in our country, and the hurt and the darkness and hope – hope has been coming up for me a lot in my journaling this week, and I mentioned it in my post. And well, also the realization, yet again that as a nation we have not done enough to bring light into the world and to show the world with our deeds, speech and thoughts the fundamental teaching of our Torah. That is that we are all – every single one of us – Children of G-d. You can head over to Instagram and to Facebook to read what I wrote. It’s nothing all that profound or spectacular – it’s messy and heartfelt, but many seemed to appreciate it. So, I invite you to read it as well.  Now, today’s show is a bit on the controversial side and I have to thank my friend Franciska Goldshmitt for that, because it’s not necessarily a conversation that I would have come up with, or decided to curate myself. But, she did! And she invited me to have this conversation with her. You might remember Franciska from the show back in Episode 39 and also she made an appearance here in Episode 109, which was one of a series of Meeting of the Minds that I had made with other Podcast Hosts.  Franciska invited me to her Facebook Group – the The ART-preneur Community to discuss the Mixed Messages About Money in The Orthodox World. And I took her up on the invitation to go Live with her and discuss it.  Today, I’m sharing that conversation with you. Now, as you may know I personally have a bit of an allergy to labels like orthodox, conservative, reform, etc., and I’m sure you’ve noticed that I try to stay away from them here on the show. The label “Orthodox” comes up only when a person’s bio really needs it, or this is the way she’s wanting to present herself in her bio, and so then I use it. But, then even during the conversation I usually try to stir the word towards Observant when I ask my questions, if I do have to bring it up. I’m not perfect but I try.  I also – funny enough had to put the label on my survey in order to learn more about my audience – and the reason I did this is because I get asked this so often by potential sponsors. It’s like one of the top things they want to know. So, ok I get it. It helps us all understand better who the audience is, and what their lifestyle is like, etc. By the way, thanks for those of you who have taken the survey and if you haven’t yet, you can find it at jewishlatinprincess.com/survey In any event, as you will see from the conversation – for those of you who are not familiar with the “Orthodox” world – there are different types of communities within Orthodoxy, and they’re not all the same. All with amazing beauty and strengths, nuances, differences, etc. So, while the questions address one particular type of community, and some of what Franciska sees as systemic issu...

Episode 125: Leigh Ioffe, Suicide Prevention Educator & Author | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:11:46

B”H Welcome to Jewish Latin Princess! I’m Yael Trusch, your Host! I said in my newsletter last week to please feel free to reach out via email or Instagram DM if you’re feeling a bit down, or unsettled by this whole pandemic. Rollercoasters are a bit more enjoyable if a friend is sitting next to us! And I know a number of you have reached out and we’ve been able to talk about some things that are going on in your lives. I’m also going to share some of these important questions in an upcoming Ask Yael episode. Speaking of questions, we’ve been working on some deep money mindset questions at my course, Jewish Money Makeover. I launched this course last month and this is week 3 of the course. It’s been a pretty awesome experience. So, I will do it again in some shape or form, perhaps not exactly the way I did it now, perhaps some content I will tweak, number of participants etc. I have to see what’s the best way to continue adding value. But one thing is for sure, this is here to stay. So, if you were curious the first time, but didn’t join head over to jewishlatinprincess.com/waitlist so that I know that you’re interested. Those people on the waiting list are the ones I will open the course to first. And once it fills, it fills. I probably won’t be launching a massive course for now because there’s a lot of coaching that is involved in the process and I want this to continue to be super high touch experience, with me, and among the members of the group. So, Jewish Latin Princess.com/waitlist I also wanted to acknowledge those of you who have filled out the listener survey! I’m glad I requested it again, because there definitely was a big bump in survey entries. I do need a bit more entries to feel like the survey accurately reflects the Jewish Latin Princess audience. We have grown, ladies! This podcast has grown tremendously. Which is a great opportunity for me to welcome any of you who are newer to the show. Some of you have written expressing how glad you were to have discovered it etc. Some of you have even been so kind to leave reviews on iTunes! I will be sharing some of those! Thank You very much. I still want to give the survey a bit more time, because I’d rather get more data than have to run one of these again in 3 months. And also, because I realize that we’re not commuting as much due to the pandemic and so, many of us are not listening to podcasts as regularly as we used to. So, I know I have to give it time. I know I’m totally behind on my usual shows. But, if you are here and you haven’t filled out that listener survey, please head over to jewishlatinprincess.com/survey and fill it out. It literally takes 30 seconds. And yes, once I close it I will be raffling off those $10 Amazon gift cards! I’m all about the gifts, so, just for fun, I’m raffling these off to 20 participants. We have more than 20 entries already, but we need more so that the data can reflect the reality – which is that there’s a lot more of you here listening! And I totally thank you for that! Before I introduce my guest I have a freebie for you:

Episode 124: Cathy Heller, Host of Don’t Keep Your Day Job | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:06:41

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch Your Host! Welcome to the Show! Have you been wondering if it’s time to do something bigger, better; something that feels truly meaningful, purposeful? Could it be done online? And could you actually make a lot of money doing it? Today’s show is for you! I have the super wise Cathy Heller and she’s on fire! Cathy is the Host of the popular podcast Don’t Keep Your Day Job, which has 13 million downloads and has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, HuffPost, Inc Magazine, Business Insider and several times by Apple. Every week Cathy encourages thousands of listeners to find more purpose in their life and get paid to do what they love full time. In the show she’s interviewed creative entrepreneurs like Seth Godin, Lisa Simpson, Jonathan Adler, Bobbi Brown, Gretchen Rubin, Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran, Paralympic medallist Amy Purdy, Starbucks’s Howard Schultz, and many others.  She’s also the author of the book Don’t Keep Your Day Job filled with inspirational stories and details about how to find the work you were meant to do, how to grow your business, and level up your quality of life all around. And Cathy is a super spiritual woman, a woman of faith; so do you think this is going to be an awesome conversation? We could have gone on for two hours. Bring some dark chocolate and tea… and we could have just kept going. And I have a feeling that’s what we’ll be doing at some point soon cuz as you’ll soon see, we totally connected. We talk about Cathy’s transformation. What are the best practices to pursuing the dream job and letting go of the day job? Cuz no, it’s not meant to be: drop it all and go sleep in the back of your car. How does one get clarity on what is the business that one should pursue  – ie. the dream job? And how does one make money at it? Because yeah, ultimately if we want to serve the world in a really big way, we have to monetize this dream also. So, inevitably we got into the topic of money, which we are both very passionate about. You’re absolutely going to love her! And before I bring her on, I wanted to let you know that due to high demand, I opened the doors to the Jewish Money Makeover a second time because I filled out the course with the first 10 women really  quickly. So, I decided to open again. So if you’re a woman who in sick of felling stuck in your financial life, you’re ready to change your thoughts, emotions and behaviors around money, then join me in Jewish Money Makeover. It’s a tremendous value at $99 because I’m giving you everything I’ve learned over the years so that you can come out of this pandemic – out of this recession – with an entirely new financial paradigm, have peace in this area of your life, and, yes create more wealth as well. So, the doors are open for Jewish Money Makeover – a second cohort of only 10 women and with this group I’m starting Wednesday May 6, 2020. So get on in now, don’t get left out.  Episode 123: Yael Trusch, Building Financial & Spiritual Resilience During this Pandemic | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:52

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. How is everyone doing? How’s quarantine going? One of the areas where I’ve seen a lot of pain and struggle during this crisis is in people’s financial lives. We’re experiencing a Recession – I don’t have to tell you that – and we don’t know how long this is going to be and it’s not exactly like the last Recession either. So, I’ve been very open with my newsletter subscribers many of whom shared some of their main financial worries at the moment and I think I was able for the most part to respond to each one of them with some thoughts, some ideas, a perspective that could be helpful. In addition to that last Sunday I gave a Live class on the Facebook Page of the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) on the topic of Building Spiritual and Financial Resilience During this Pandemic. So, what I’m doing today is sharing the entire audio of the class with you because although it’s a live video class and might not flow as smoothly as an audio, the response was very positive and so I think it’s worth sharing with all of you on Jewish Latin Princess Podcast. Now, before we kick it off, I want to make a big announcement! I’ve opened the Jewish Money Makeover – a 4 week course for ten women who are serious about making a transformation on how they think, feel and behave around money and consequently bring more wealth into their lives. Everything of course, based on timeless Jewish wisdom. Now, as of this recording there are only 8 spots left and I would love to fill them with anyone of you who is a growth minded woman and is ready to really experience a transformation, to go deep and have a lot of fun also. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be putting this out there. I feel like it’s long overdue for me to really be sharing and teaching the lessons that I’ve learned since the last Recession, which have changed my financial life completely. So, if this is something that sounds interesting to you head over to JewishLatinPrincess.com/JMM for Jewish Money Makover and enroll. Join us! It’s an intimate group which is exactly how I want it and it’s a very low ticket item, only $99 because I really wanted to make this accessible to 10 women who are ready to dive in with me on a transformation. So check it out at JewishLatinPrincess.com/JMM for Jewish Money Makeover. Again, 8 spots left at the time of this recoding.  And now, here is Building Financial & Spiritual Resilience During this Pandemic.  Episode 122: Kaley Zeitouni, Coach, Speaker & Author | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:09:01

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Welcome to the show. Today I have an incredible show for you. I called my guest the “Challenge Ninja” when we started the conversation, but by the end of this I realized that she really is the “Wellness Ninja”. If you’ve ever dealt with challenges in your life, and my guess is that you have, then you have to listen to today’s episode and listen carefully. My guest is Kaley Zeitouni, Best Selling Author, Therapist, Coach, Speaker who turned her challenges into a successful coaching business through her resilience and determination. What were those challenges?  Kaley was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) at twelve years old and despite the serious diagnosis, she was determined to stay positive, overcome the disease, and get the most out of life. At age 14, Kaley founded her non-profit Youth Against MS (YAMS), Inc. and inspired thousands of adolescents across the country to live with gratitude and make the most of their lives. She also served as a patient advocate to other MS patients and their families. After 18 years of living with the debilitating disease, Kaley committed herself to applying mind-body techniques to completely eliminate her symptoms. Today, she medically confirmed to be disease-free; something almost unheard of. Kaley took her personal experience of healing and developed a full coaching business, guiding others with chronic illness to experience relief from their symptoms using scientifically backed mind-body techniques. Her resilience was tested again when Kaley’s fiance, David Crayk, died suddenly. Determined to begin to feel whole as quickly as possible, she knew she couldn’t wait for time, or try the all too common default of self-distraction. Kaley surrounded herself with coaches, mentors, and therapists to harness every tool possible to face her pain. Kaley turned those tools along with her experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist into her own grief coaching program, and now guides others through the loss of a spouse or partner. We unpack so much in this episode. This one deserves to be heard twice or maybe even three times. Here we go, ladies, here’s the unbelievable Kaley Zeitouni.  You can learn more about Kaley at www.kaleyz.com.  Episode 121: Lara Mizel Creator of the Movie “Ohr” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:35

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Welcome to the show! I hope everyone is doing well – staying home healthy and safe; and that all your loved ones are healthy as well. This is such a challenging time. We’re really left with our faith, our prayers for others. Our lives have been stripped down to what’s really important. Thus, we have a clear opportunity to find light amidst the darkness, and to shed light into the world – our unique light in trying times. More than ever, we realize how much our world needs our light, which is precisely why I’m bringing you today’s guest: Lara Mizel. But before I introduce her, I want to dedicate this episode for the complete healing of all of those who need it, and we know there are so many. Also, to the brave men and women who are in the front lines – healthcare professionals, hatzalah members, and their wives and children. You are real heroes and we thank you for all that you’re doing and the battle you are fighting. We stand behind you with our constant prayers and Torah learning and of course, following every single precaution and guideline that we have been advised to follow. Thank You! A pretty insignificant announcement in the midst of all that we’re experiencing is my listener survey which I launched right before this pandemic really hit us. I’ve been pretty quiet about it for obvious reasons. But, if you do have 30 seconds and you could go to JewishLatinPrincess.com/Survey and fill out my 30 second listener survey, I really appreciate it. It will be very helpful for me to continue my work and to continue serving you. I had promised 20 survey respondents to be picked at random for a $10 amazon gift card and that still stands. I just want to keep the survey open for a while longer, since I really have done very little in the way of promoting it. The past few weeks have not been easy on anyone, but hopefully at the same time you’ve been able to gain in other areas of your life, and hopefully your Passover preparations are also now infused with more meaning and depth despite, or rather because of, the challenge. Thus, to help us with this mindset – with light, with positivity, I have a special guest today: Lara Mizel. Lara is the creator “Ohr”, a film that documents her journey of discovering who her mother was. Lara lost her mother when she was 15 months old, and she grew up knowing very little about her very special mother. We talk about her mother. But we also talk a lot about Lara, what has she discovered about herself, her fears, her faith, how this journey changed her and more. You will find that this was a journey of self discovery and growth, and as Lara says, of “finding the light within the darkness.” Let’s hear from the lovely Lara Mizel.  Episode 120: Ilana Eck, CEO & Founder Stylish Spoon | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:42

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Welcome to the show! I hope everybody is healthy and taking the necessary health precautions while at the same time staying calm, and positive and strengthening their trust in G-d. While recording this, my guest and I had our kids off from school just as a precautionary measure. Hopefully, by the time this airs, we will have passed this crisis everywhere in the world in a miraculous way. But, in the mean time, the show must go on. Today, I’m delighted to introduce you to a business owner, a mom, a CEO, the Founder of Stylish Spoon which is a healthy baked goods company. And when I say healthy I mean healthy – organic, gluten free, non GMO, no processed sugars. You name it, Ilana Eck is on top of her game trying to bring nutrient dense healthy treats to moms and children and helping people make better food choices. This is something that I’ve recently become more conscious of as I’ve had to make some shifts in our food choices for two of my children, one in particular for whom we’re trying to reverse an auto immune condition. So, I’m delighted to find Jewish women like Ilana who can help all of us make these better choices for our families. Her journey with healthier eating began at a young age, while in college and continued over the years, while eventually she made a career pivot to become a full fledge entrepreneur. We talked about both those journeys, her healthier eating journey and later on, her entrepreneurial journey: some of the challenges involved, consistent practices that help her live a more mindful healthier life, as well as some of her Jewish values and traditions, and the very exciting move towards kosher products as part of the Stylish Spoon line. You’re going to love her and just like me you’re going to want to try these treats! Let’s hear the lovely Ilana Eck.   You may also like | Puede que también te guste¿Qué significa enseñarle a nuestros hijos a nadar?Bat Mitzvah Comes Together Through Love & KindnessEpisode 152: Chani Ehrentreu, Host of Boss Maidel & Co-Founder of ShmuzyWednesday Wink || Guiñada divinaEpisode 83: Ashley Feinstein Gerstley, the Fiscal Femme B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess, I’m Yael Trusch, your Host.  Episode 119: Ask Yael with Special Co-Host Mara Strom | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:37

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch your Host, back with an Ask Yael Episode, as well as a quick favor to ask of all of you. Jewish Latin Princess Podcast is now over three years old! I’m excited that we’ve been going strong for so long and that this audience continues to grow. And so, since I do have many different plans and ideas for the show and beyond, I need to know a bit more from you. I also have a number of sponsors who approach me on a regular basis and I need to make sure that they align with you, my audience. So, I’m asking all of you for a quick favor: to fill out an audience survey. It literally takes 30 seconds! You can find the survey at jewishlatinprincess.com/survey  And wait it gets better! I will be selecting 20 survey participants at random to win a $10 electronic Amazon gift card. Just for fun! All you have to do is enter the survey at jewishlatinprincess.com/survey I will close the survey hopefully in 2 – 3 weeks, as soon as we have enough data points but of course the sooner the better, so please head over to JewishLatinPrincess.com/Survey to fill out the survey. I look forward to announcing 20 winners of a $10 electronic gift card to Amazon.  Now, this Ask Yael episode is extra hot, because it’s all about money. And these are not easy money questions like how much should I be saving for retirement, or how should I tackle my credit card debt. Rather, they are the good stuff, the stuff that makes us human, the emotional stuff that requires some thought, some empathy, and more. So, in order to tackle these questions that came in the mailbag, I’ve brought another Jewish lady who is passionate about money matters, my colleague and friend, Mara Strom. Mara is not new to Jewish Latin Princess Podcast. She was my guest back in Episode 53, which by the way was a great episode – one of my favorites, actually. So, if you haven’t yet, I really encourage you to go back and listen.  Today Mara and I tackle questions about saving for your child’s wedding, tzedakah (charity) and arguing with your spouse about money.  Episode 118: Azriela Jankovic, Life Coach, Author, Podcast Host | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:04:18

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess and in case you’ve forgotten, I’m Yael Trusch your Host! Happy to be back on the podcast and happy to be back on the other side of three extemporaneous speeches in Brooklyn, NY at the International CTeen Shabbaton. And when I say extemporaneous I don’t mean that I just winged it, or that they were off the cuff. There’s nothing off the cuff about speaking without notes for 35 to 45 minutes! That takes a lot of work, editing work, mental work, practicing… tons of practicing! Let’s add to that that the audience was teenagers, so you know that adds a layer of complexity. You have to be able to connect with teens which is never an easy feat, and in this day and age of short attention spans, well you know what I mean. But, I did it! And I’m so glad I did! Thank You to the team at Cteens for recruiting me and trusting me. And thank you to the most awesome teens, when I tell you they were great I mean it! I came back so inspired… their questions, their energy, their thirst for learning. The whole experience was wonderful. And to Sarah if you’re listening, this is me saying “Hi”. Sarah approached me before one of my talks and said, I’ve been listening to Jewish Latin Princess Podcast for a while! I was so happy about that! I never knew we had a younger audience and I love it. So Sarah, great to meet you and to any other young ladies coming from CTeens, and every one else, welcome! Now, onto my Jewish Latin Princess’ guest, today. Oh I love this guest. She’s actually been a long time listener of the show. And we met in Israel a while back when I was there last for my son’s Bar Mitzvah two years ago. I have Azriela Jankovic with us today. Azi as many call her is an educator and life coach, most recently the author of Beyond All Things: Insights to Awaken, Joy, Purpose & Spiritual Connection, and the Host of Within Us, a podcast in which she interviews myriad of experts who believe in our power to persist in the face of challenges, and spread light in this world when faced with darkness.” Stay tuned for my appearance in Within Us, which I’m delighted for. Azi and I talk about a few of the insights of her book – the ones’ she feels have resonated most with people. She reminds us of the importance of one of the most wonderful tools G-d gave us in our arsenal: our breath. This is something we know, but we forget to utilize consciously and consistently, so I appreciated the reminder. I’m committing now to include slow conscious breathing to my daily routine. We also talk about her work as a coach and watch me resist all the coaching and masterminding in life –  ok, not the coaching, but the group masterminding. Lets see with Dr. Azi says about this, and of course I had to rant a bit about how we can’t focus inward if we’re so distracted with our social media, as purposeful as we’d love it to be… So, yeah this interview became quite the funny coaching session, or maybe venting session!? No, I’m kidding, it’s not bad. My guest was beyond gracious, thank you Dr. Azi, cuz well she’s just lovely. She also shared with us her experience with chronic pain and more. Let’s hear the lovely Dr. Azi Jankovic. You can find her at dr.azi.co where you can find all about her coaching sessions, mastermind and her journal Growing Kindness. And you can find her book Beyond All Things: Insights to Awaken Joy, Purpose, and Spiritual Connection right

Episode 116: Chaya Toron, Water Color Artist & Painter | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:20

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Welcome to the show! Good to be back here. I’m back in some sort of routine, after my children’s winter break and my parent’s visit etc. I love routine! In fact, I’m trying to meal plan these days. I’ve tried it in the past but never really got into it. I’m determined to give it a shot again, with the encouragement and great tips from many on you on Instagram – Thank You very much – I will continue to meal plan and see how it goes for me. Listen, I’m disciplined about planning my money, so I can get disciplined about planning and producing my meals, right? And on that note, if you haven’t heard my appearance on Kayla Levin’s podcast, First Year Married, I was there a week or so ago speaking about Money Dates – the why, the what and the how. And I think many of you are going to love what I have to say and benefit from it. So head over to First Year Married on your podcast player and you can find me on Episode 55. As a compliment to that interview, I created a checklist, a guide to doing these money dates, for all of Kayla’s listeners but of course, you are welcome to it as well. In this checklist I walk you through 7 dates and the prompts, the things to discuss during those dates, which will get you set up to carry on with your money dates going forward. You can access that at www.jewishlatinpricness.com/moneydate. And let me know how you like it and if you start your money dates, tag me on Instagram; maybe use the #moneydate. I want to see! As always questions welcome. In fact, send those in now cuz the next episode I have up is a juicy Ask Yael with fellow money nerd and creator of Kosher on a Budget, Mara Strom and we will be answering some of your money questions, so thank you for sending those already. But, if you have more, please send my way… AHORA! Now. Ok, speaking of routine, and money, today I have someone with whom I also speak a lot about routine, habits, discipline and well how she took the leap of faith to start making money off of her art. That is, yes to treat it as her full time business and not a side gig. My guest is Chaya Toron and she’s a watercolor artist and painter. Chaya and I talk about the creative process, how it works, the financial considerations behind this leap of faith, and more. It’s so refreshing to me to hear young women taking risks. I also think it’s a different world, whereby the internet and social media has brought so many entrepreneurial opportunities and ways to define our own unique path in whatever field we want. So, let’s hear from my guest. Here’s Chaya Toron.    You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 65: Rena Reiser, Host of Jewish Intuitive Eating Journeys PodcastEpisode 40: Miriam Ballin,

B”H You’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Welcome to the show! I hope everyone has had a beautiful Chanukah so far. I know with all the anti-semitic attacks lately we’re also feeling a bit unsettled, at least I am. But, at the same time, it makes us appreciate the importance of our Holiday, our traditions, our family, and so much more. I am taking a break this week – last day of Chanukah and end of the fiscal year – because I have family in town. My parents are here. Also, my son is home from yeshiva and goes back to school this week. So, I’m looking forward to disconnecting a bit and to the family time. But, I have a re-play of an episode which I’ve been asked about a lot. In fact, it’s one of my most downloaded episodes. This episode is an interview with Faigy Pollock, Expert on marital intimacy and the creator of Unblock Your Way to Oneness. If you’ve been listening to Jewish Latin Princess for a while, you know Unblock Your Way to Oneness is one of my sponsors. I’ve had many listeners take this course online and they have shared with me how much they’ve benefitted, which is great and makes me very happy. But, aside from that, I wanted to bring Faigy back because it’s such an important topic and I think Faigy does a beautiful job of addressing it – again it is one of my most popular episodes, thus far. It definitely is one of my favorites. Here you go ladies, here’s Faigy Pollok.  Episode 113: Anat Garzon & Iliana Cogan, Founders of Kindness ATM | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:34

B”H Imagine a machine that spreads kindness – what would it look like? An ATM sharing dollar bills freely with everyone who passed by? That’s one idea, but an even better one is what my wildly creative guests have created… it’s called the Kindness ATM – and yes it’s an ATM machine – can you believe that? But, it doesn’t give you dollar bills. Rather, it helps spread kindness. How does it do that? Well, they are going to tell us in this wonderful interview. I have Anat Garzon and Iliana Cogan on Jewish Latin Princess Podcast today. This interview has been long in the making. Anat, Iliana and I have worlds that collide in many regards, although we have never met in person, so, it’s been a pleasure for me to speak with them and get to learn more about this amazing project: the Kindness ATM. I think it’s bold and awesome! And, any of us could be part of it. Yes, I didn’t realize this until the interview. But, if you run your own company, or you’re involved in your children’s PTO, or any other organization; or you want to do something meaningful and different for your child or grandchild’s Bar or Bat mitzvah… you might want to consider sponsoring the Kindness ATM to come to the organization of your choice. Seems also like a pretty awesome Chanukah project! And if you’d like to sponsor the Kindness ATM in Florida, I’ve got you covered…you can get $50 off your sponsorship by going to jewishlatinprincess.com/kindness, or by sending Kindness ATM a Direct Message on Instagram telling them you’re a JewishLatinPrincess listener and want to sponsor a Kindness ATM. Easy, just go to @kindness_atm on Instagram and send a DM to score your $50 off and get that Kindness ATM out there in Florida!  But now ladies, let’s go learn about this innovative product and this innovative idea and how it helps build a culture of kindness… Here we go ladies, here’s Anat Garzon and Iliana Cogan.    You may also like | Puede que también te gusteEpisode 170: Manifestation vs TrustBest Honey Cake EverElul’s Time AuditEpisode 126: Mixed Messages About Money in the Orthodox WorldTimeless Interior: Ivanka Trump B”H Imagine a machine that spreads kindness – what would it look like?  Episode 112: Gila Glassberg, Intuitive Eating Counselor | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:30

B”H Welcome Back Everyone, I’m Yael Trusch your host and you’re listening to Jewish Latin Princess. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, if you celebrated it. You know what I did most of Thanksgiving vacation? I decluttered my home. So, while everyone is on a frenzy buying things on Black Friday I’m still getting rid of stuff, selling stuff online or giving it away. Boy does it feel good! That’s all good, but what’s even better is that I also celebrated my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah the Sunday before Thanksgiving and that was amazing. So, this past week was my week to recover from that event. We brought in Rochie Pinson, Author of Rising the Book of Challah, whom you may remember from all the way back in Episode 58, specifically for the Bat Mitzvah! If you’re following me on Instagram you probably caught already some of the pictures.  So, let’s get to today’s interview which is a good one! Let me ask you this: Have you ever been on a diet? Have you been on several diets? Well, according to my guest and other guests I’ve had on the show, this might be a road you don’t want to take, for you could be turning off the natural intuitive eating cues that G-d put into your body. And you might have been doing this for years, which might be exacerbating the problem you want to get rid of in the first place. Ladies, I have Gila Glassberg on the show!  Gila Glassberg is a Master’s level Registered Dietitian and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. She became passionate about the field of nutrition and dietetics as a teenager. What happened as a teenager, which led her to the field of nutrition? Being in a dangerous place and being in a borderline place when it comes to negative thoughts and behaviors around food – Can this be turned around? How can you help your child not go down a negative path when it comes to disordered eating? Really, practically, how do we avoid sending the wrong messages to our teens? Trust is a big part of it, mothers. How did Gila come across the non diet, weight neutral approach to health called Intuitive Eating? And, what was the disconnect between her training as a Registered Dietitian and Intuitive Eating? By the way, what is the difference between a nutritionist and a Registered Dietitian? Important to know. We also go deep into the benefits of this approach. Gila works one-on-one and in group settings to help Jewish women break out of chronic dieting, and regain clarity into what is really important to them.
