903 Brewers Jeremy Roberts joins the Beer Guys to talk about their big and boozy Sasquatch Milk Stout, the Reserve variants of the beer, and putting cake in cream ales for their Fight The PastryArchy series. We talk Texas beer laws and HB762, fighting for the right to allow breweries to sell beer to go. We also chat about their new 903 Schollhouse location, what grilled cheese pairs best with a 15% stout, and how they beat the Texas heat.
Live from Owen Ogletree's Classic City Brewfest in Athens, GA we talk with Akademia Brewing to see what the last year held for them. Their beer is in cans now, and they've recently added a larger lounge to their brewpub. We also catch up with a soon-to-be brewery in the Normaltown neighborhood of Athens. Athentic Brewing gives a nod to their city and their guitar pick logo pays homage to the rich musical history of Athens, home to bands like REM, THe B-52s, Drive by Truckers, and Widespread Panic.
We're live from Tinypalooza 4.5 at The Lincoln Fill Station in Snellville, GA. We drink beer and dodge basketballs as we chat with The Southern Brewing Co., Bitch Beer Podcast, and Alcovy Brewing.
The Juice Strikes Back beer fest is one of the finest craft beer events in Atlanta, and probably the Southeast. We're live from the party this week with Paul Wasmund, head brewer at Barrel Culture Brewing and Blending. We talk sour beer, clean beer, and superheroes. Jerry Nelson from Une Annee and Hubbard's Cave also joins to tell the story of bringing his brewery back from the edge of bankruptcy. We also sit down with Modern Hops to chat about the fest and the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
Troy Casey founded Casey Brewing & Blending in 2013 offering up a variety of carefully crafted fruited and hoppy wild ales. Casey recently added the brewing to "brewing & blending" with the addition of a 7-barrel brewhouse. The beers at Casey are made with 99% local ingredients, a feat few breweries can accomplish. Casey shares his thoughts on brewing, blending, brewing local craft beer, and hip-hop production. We also chat with Joe Lasko about Res-Tek protective flooring for your brewery. Hot stuff.
Three Taverns Craft Beers is known for hoppy IPAs, big and thick long-boil stouts, and a variety of sour and wild ales. The team just welcomed new brewmaster Riley Finnigan, coming to Atlanta from Edge Brewing in Barcelona. Purcell and Finnigan tell us about their upcoming Imaginarium brewery, Rowdy and Proud IPA and the love of Atlanta United, and we find out who (or what) Mable-McNally is and the significance with St. Patrick's Day.
People with Celiac disease or gluten-sensitivity can now safely enjoy a REAL craft beer, completely gluten-free. Holidadily Brewing Co. founder and Chief Brewista Karen Hertz joins us this week to talk about her journey to open a gluten-free brewery and how she utilizes grains like buckwheat and millet to make craft beers that are totally free of gluten.
