Priests in scripture represented healing and forgiveness to the people as they burnt offerings. Jesus was our ultimate priest through his life sacrifice that created a new covenant that eliminated the role of the priest. And yet the new testament tells us that we are now a “royal priesthood”. This now begs the question, what is the role of a 21st century priest?
