We start off with a dive in The Word with Dr. Bruce Waltke. Dr. Waltke takes us to the book of Proverbs to talk about the fear of God. We’ll start the hour with a conversation with Dr. John Long who was one of Michael’s professors at Western Kentucky University. We’ll hear why the new book “Inexpressible” is dedicated to him. In our commentary segment Michael gives broad overview of the word hessed as it is used in the Old Testament, by Jesus, Paul and how it shaped the modern Jewish faith. Then in the second half we’ll meet a new friend, Olivier Melnick from Chosen People Ministries. This week In The Studio with Michael Card we’ll feature a “Classic” from our archives. Joining Michael in this session is Dr. Ben Johnson. Dr. Johnson went home to be with Lord a few years ago. This past recording will let us hear again his perspective of the African-American experience as we look at Colossians chapter three. Then, we’ll hear several songs from Michael’s lullaby project which were e-quested by a listener. Then we’ll go on location to the Mercy Children’s Clinic to see how tangible support for children and families is happening in the Franklin area.

This week’s “Classic” edition of In The Studio With Michael Card was recorded outside the four walls of Mole End. In August 2004 Michael and several of the program staff had the opportunity to meet with followers of Christ living on the island nation of Cuba.
