2018 NFL Owners Meeting: Catch Rule, Command Center To Eject Players, No PATs At End Of Regulation | File Type: video/mp4 | Duration: 04:44

On today’s Quick Hitters, Jordan Giorgio (https://twitter.com/JordanGiorgio/) has your recap of the 2018 NFL owners meeting and what you should know regarding the newest rule changes. First, the league has eliminated the requirement that a team that scores a winning touchdown at the end of regulation kick the extra point or go for a 2-point conversion, you remember the Minneapolis Miracle don't you? Next, owners approved that command center will be able to eject players. SVP of officiating Al Riveron can now order the ejection of a player who has been penalized for a non-football act such as punching or fighting. Examples from 2017 include Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's late hit to the head of Bills CB Tre'Davious White, and Buccaneers WR Mike Evans' blindside hit on Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore, both of whom weren't ejected. Lastly, a new catch rule, aka Dez caught it. To define a catch a simpler three-step process will be used, a receiver must control the ball, establish himself in bounds and perform a football move such as taking a third step or lunging with the ball in hand. Jordan also has a recap of all the best games in the NBA from yesterday including LeBron James matched Michael Jordan’s streak of 866 consecutive double-digit scoring in the Cavs win vs. the Hornets. On today’s Quick Hitters, Jordan Giorgio (https://twitter.com/jordangiorgio) has your recap of 15th-ranked Michigan Wolverines taking down No. 8 Purdue to win their 2nd straight Big Ten Tournament. The NBA's home stretch has arrived, and Jordan has a look at the latest NBA Top 10 power rankings. Lastly, the defensive stars in this year's draft class had an opportunity to showcase themselves at the 2018 NFL Combine yesterday, UCF Knight’s Shaquem Griffin was the one who stole the show. Michigan’s Jon Teske’s two handed slam rocked the house and basically finished off the Boilermakers for the victory 75-66. The Wolverines will now enter the NCAA Tournament on a nine-game winning streak. The latest NBA power rankings by Chat Sports were released and the Cleveland Cavaliers just missed the Top 5 coming in at No. 6. In our Top 5 are the Minnesota Timberwolves, followed by the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets and at the top of our list at number one are the Golden State Warriors. The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine will wrap up today with safeties and cornerbacks taking center stage at Lucas Oil Stadium. After offense dominated the first two days of the Combine, the defensive stars turn was up yesterday. UCF Knights linebacker Shaquem Griffin stole the show, he ran a 4.38-second 40-yard dash, which was the fastest time for the position since 2003. Doctors had to amputate Griffin's left hand when he was just four years old, which was a result from a condition that had developed before he was born. Despite that, Griffin had 18 and a half sacks in his final two years with UCF. He also benched 20 225-pound reps Saturday with the aid of a prosthetic on his left hand.
