Brett Robbo is a former athlete, turned High Performance coach and therapist working with some of the World best Paralympic and Olympic athletes. For the past 14 years he's been working in Paralympic sport as a Sprints & Jumps Coach and Performance Therapist. He's been surrounded by stories of massive adversities everyday, but at the same time has been uplifted by the courage and resilience displayed by these amazing athletes with a disability who learn how to use adversity to their advantage. This podcast journey starts with some of the inspiring and world changing Para communities and also branches into many other highly influential and inspirational humans that Brett has learned from on his journey. The vision for this podcast through providing an abundance of value, is to grow a community of impactors who learn how to master the Key Pillars of Life from the guests we interview, and who also challenge the status quo.

Ali Day is one of Australia’s best Surf Ironman athletes. He exemplifies Holistic Health and Excellence. He’s won the Nutri-Grain Ironman series and consistently been on the podium for this event and most notably has won the gruesome Coolangatta Gold 4 times. This event is a mixture of Surf Ski, Paddle Boarding, swimming and running, totalling a distance of almost 47km (or 29miles) including the transition runs. It. Is. Brutal! If I could sum Ali up in one word, it would be genuine. You know when you spend time with people and you resonate with them at an energetic level that makes you feel superhuman, that’s how I felt in the presence of Ali and his beautiful partner Kel. He is an athletic FREAK. His sport is really tough, and he conquers it mentally and physically, but he almost gave the sport away due to health problems and he takes us into that adversity and what changes he made to help him not only recover, but then dominate his sport and not suffer those same health problems ever again. Dan Pfaff is a GENIUS!! He’s a track and field coach, who coached Donovan Bailey to Gold in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and has coached many other World Championship and Olympic medals in his time, including Gold to Greg Rutherford in the 2012 Olympics and Silver to Australia’s very own Aussie, Fabrice Lapierre at the 2015 World Championships in the Long Jump, where his other athlete, that darn Englishman again, Greg Rutherford, won the Gold medal. Dan has also worked with many elite NFL and Soccer stars, and Tennis players such as Maria Sharapova. I’ve shadowed Dan numerous times over the years and he’s helped mentor me into the coach and therapist I am today. But in this episode, I don’t really talk to him about Track and Field, or athletes much for that matter. Nam Baldwin is a coach to Mick Fanning and Steph Gilmore who are both World Champion surfers. He’s also worked with Pat Rafter, many footballers across different codes including the New Zealand All Blacks rugby union psychologists and more recently working with some international, world class MMA fighters such as Luke Rockhold and Corey Wilson I’ve worked with Nam with my elite Paralympic athletes and to me he is a breathing expert, resilience expert, mindset expert, movement specialist. He’s an all-round brilliant coach and human! This is an awesome chat, covering a lot of info about the flow state* and how we can open our minds to operate in this state. Nam talks to us about the work he’s done with Mick Fanning and helping him overcome massive adversities in his life and how Mick is now using these adversities to his advantage. I asked Nam to take us through a short breathing exercise which lasts a few minutes and he explains some basic processes to help improve your energetic state and become more present.
