Tonight it's realer than ever on "It's Real Talk Radio" as we have 2 major topics we're covering. On the first half of the show we'll be discussing the "Atlanta Public School Cheating Scandal" which has been a nationally recognized case that has just about come to an end as a jury has found all but 1 of the accused staff guilty of Count 1: Conspiracy to violate the racketeering influence and corrupt organizations act. Some were found guilty of other crimes but Count 1 was the most serious. Upon sentencing, these ex-staff members of the APS System could be facing a lot of time behind bars and the question we're asking our listeners is do you agree with the outcome, or do you think sending them to jail was too harsh of a penalty considering the crime? One thing's for sure, you know we're gonna keep it real with our perspectives. On the second half of tonight's show, we'll be discussing Officer Michael Slager's fatal shooting of Walter Scott. Officer Slager, a South Carolina Law Enforcement officer, gunned down an unarmed man by the name of Walter Scott after he tried to flee from being severely Tasered . The footage that was recorded by Fayden Santana, a man who happened to be in the area with a camera phone, doesn't show what took place before Walter Scott took off running and was ultimately gunned down in the process, but what it does show is he didn't at the time of fleeing oppose a threat and as a result was shot 5 times including 4 shots to his back. How do you feel about Officer Slager's decision? Was it bad judgement, was it cruel intent and ultimately murder in cold blood, or do you actually agree with Officer Slager's use of deadly force? Last Wednesday on It's Real Talk Radio we hosted a battle rap competition by the name of "Championship Battle Rap" where 3 emcees competed for the crown. 1 battler left victorious and that was Jenezyz who is an active battle rapper/musician/song writer/everything! Well as one of the rewards for winning the competition and being crowned the first ever C.B.R champion, Jenezyz is hosting tonight's show. Alongside Jen's co-host "D Tay" who's also an active battle rapper, tonight will make for an entertaining show to say the lease! Appearances from Young Kannon, OD (Owner of AHAT), Calicoe and others are expected throughout the show. That's right, some of battle rap's most talented MC's all step on the C.B.R stage to chop it up with Jen & D Tay. Tonight for the first time on "IRTR", we're hosting a live rap battle between 4 MC's: "Jcadi" reppin Alberta, Canada; "Jenezyz" reppin Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; "Raunchy Raye" reppin Baltimore, Maryland; & "Viki Shakespeare" reppin San Diego/Oakland, California. This is a judged competition and the rules go as followed: Jcadi & Jenezyz battle in a 2 minute round in Battle #1. Afterwards, the judges will elaborate on who they think won, and then each judge will announce who they chose and why (each judge MUST choose an MC). Like most other competitions, majority rules. The same rules apply for Raunchy Raye & Viki Shakespeare in Battle #2, leaving the winners from Battles 1 & 2 to faceoff in the Championship Round. With pride, bragging rights, and the crown on the line, the Championship Round will be a 3 minute spaz fest for each MC which follows the same rules (minus the time limit) from Battles 1 & 2. After the judges deliberate, a winner and NEW C.B.R champion will be crowned. The battles are all acapella and explicit content is permitted, so if you have virgin ears then this may not be the show for you, but if you enjoy Hip Hop and you're a battle rap fan, then "It's Real Talk Radio" is where you want to be on Wednesday, March 4th at 9PM EST. This was a pretty entertaining Super Bowl and it eventually came down to the wire like most people predicted. With a crucial redzone interception with just seconds left in the fourth, the New England Patriots held off the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in one of the more dramatic Super Bowl finishes in recent years.
