Bernie Miklasz details the greatness of Roger Federer and his comeback from last year's Wimbledon and his amazing accomplishments at the age of 35. Mags Sierra is in his 3rd stint with the Cardinals and Bernie says it's time for them let it ride for a while...at least until some of the magic and infield hits wear off. Bernie gives a handful of things that he learned about the Cardinals 43-45 first half of the season. Among those things listed was just how unlucky the Cardinals and their offense has been these first few months. Pinkel gave an update on his health and says his leukemia is still in remission, and gives his thoughts on Barry Odom. Bernie Miklasz assesses Mike Matheny's recent handling of putting his best lineup out on the field. He notes guys like Pham, DeJong, and Voit all getting more playing time BUT Bernie points out the real test is still to come. Walt Jocketty joined Bernie Miklasz to talk about his time in St. Louis, what he's most proud of, the 2006 World Series runs, all the pieces he added to those teams in 00s that push them over the top. But they also discussed the trials and tribulations he had as a GM including the death of Daryl Kile in 2002.

Bernie Miklasz talks about the All-Star game that was "boring," but all the events surrounding that was just what baseball needed. He also praised Yadier Molina's performance and took note of Carlos Martinez's two inning outing. Coming into the 2017, the Cardinals were a team in transition by allowing Matt Holliday to walk and moving on from Brandon Moss. But Bernie Miklasz explains why now they are a team in transition from the transition with guys like Paul DeJong, Luke Voit, and Tommy Pham. Rob Manfred doesn't understand the need for the "face of baseball" mantra and Bernie Miklasz doesn't understand it either. He explains this isn't the Kardashian reality show. It's a much different sport than NFL or NBA. The baseball culture is much different.

Mike Claiborne joined Bernie Miklasz in-studio to talk about the 1990s in St. Louis and the launch of sports talk radio in the area. Claibs and Bernie talked about the return of football to St. Louis, the Rams and the start of the Greatest Show on Turf. They wrapped up the hour talking about another lost decade with the Cardinals until Bill DeWitt Jr. purchased the team and their fortunes changed going into the 2000s.
