If I had come out of a coma and saw the news headlines this week, I’d be convinced we’d elected a constitutional conservative or even a libertarian. I will admit that, with rare, exception President Trump has been on fire, tearing at the foundation of our largely unconstitutional central government. But I offer a word of caution to my fellow liberty lovers that we do not fall victim to hero worship. Everything Trump has done up until now has been through the power of his executive pen. Does it bother anyone else that the executive yields the amount of authority he does? Much of it derived from the unconstitutional expansion by his predecessors. I hope we do not fall victim to the progressive mistake of championing the further expansion of that power. I’m also going to expose Al Gore in his latest attempt to rewrite his historical predictions on climate change. It’s amazing how little credibility a guy can have and still command so much authority. Plus, wait until you see the fear and loathing at the DNC. The amount of white guilt in that organization is staggering. It’s well worth listening to twice, so we did. Enjoy, Jason

Vehicle discounts increased in December of 2016 to increase auto sales to yet, another record year! Demand for cars has fallen because the auto bubble is deflating and it took a decrease in vehicle prices to bring people into dealerships. How much longer will this go on? The auto loan bubble will be fully pricked by the time the next economic crisis is here and we seem to be very close to that. Also, companies like Cadillac are offering a new program where you pay a $1,500 subscription and you can drive any top of the line Cadillac car you want. There is no contract, just a $1,500 a month subscription. This new program will begin to roll out on February 1st, 2017 in New York City. Is this the future of the car industry? What’s coming next?

There has been a major development in the Arcade City saga. Will this finally be the end of it? This is the twenty-eighth episode of The LAVA Spurt, The Arcade City / Swarm City Hard Fork Edition. While I was away, there was some major news in the Arcade City ongoing saga, so I wanted to make sure to get it to you as quickly as I could. I heard from another friend, who requests to remain nameless, that when Christoper David resigned from the Arcade City Council, he refused to hand over the intellectual property of the company, including the web address, twitter and FB accounts, and the name Arcade City. With this being the case, and with the new members of the Arcade City Council understanding how toxic Christopher David is after being hammered on their last Reddit AMA, the Arcade City Council decided to cut all ties to Chris and to rebrand as Swarm City, which will have the use of all of the funds raised in the ARC token sale, all $620,000 worth. Of course, this has caused a ton of bickering. As would be expected, Chris David is calling foul since he will now be left with the Arcade City intellectual property that will be worth exactly nothing at the end of all of this. He’s saying that the new dev team is committing fraud by using the money to launch a separate project. Bernd Lapp, the head of Swarm City, says this is a direct result of trying to distance themselves from Chris. A Rationalist Critique of Deconstruction (Part 3) "The Failure of the Difference Principle" In Part 3, we will analyze and critique the Difference Principle from Structuralism through the mindsets of Rationalism and Deconstruction even further in order to see if there is such a thing as a "transcendental signified"--that is, knowledge structures (a priori logical structure of mind)-- before there is language as the creator of mind and rationality. This is a debate between rationalism and universal empiricism, and it sets the stage for what proceeded in postmodernism and Deconstruction, which resulted in a Poststructuralist environment in the Humanities.

I know, I know the term Fake News is getting way to much play right now. Everything is getting classified as “fake news” but to me the real travesty in American journalism today is just how little journalism is happening. Today’s is an excellent example of that. Chirs Matthews had Rep. Maxine Waters on his show to talk about her refusal to attend Trump’s inauguration on the 20th. Maxine talked about her support for Rep. Lewis and what she thought Lewis meant when he said Trump was not a “legitimate president.” Then she went off the rails suggesting investigations might be forthcoming to determine if the Trump campaign had colluded with the Russian government to help get Trump elected. Not only did Chris not call her on the carpet for the unsubstantiated claim he ran with it, asking Maxine what she thought should be done IF such a connection could be made. Today I’m going to take you play by play through the exchange and explain exactly how the media plants a false story using tactics like this and then treats them as though they are legitimate questions that deserve answers.
