Desert Breeze published Scattered Hearts, the valentine anthology that my writers group wrote and Chalet is publishing A Spiral of Echoes, the paranormal romance I co-wrote with Maggie Pucillo. Host Barbara Ehrentreu and Co-Host Freda Roberts welcome as our guests Samuel King and six amazing picture book writers who are participating in an event for Women's History Month which includes three bookstores and a gallery/restaurant. Led by Melanie Hope Greenberg this "creative collective" of picture book writers consists of five more women. They are Miriam Cohen, Selina Alko, Pat Cummings, Aileen Leitjan and Meghan McCarthy. Samuel King has written a novel, several novellas, a screenplay and short stories including "The First Angry 'Man'". He will discuss his writing in science fiction and read an excerpt from his own work. For Women's History Month the six women picture book writers will participate during the entire month of March. Both panel discussions and readings are planned in their local area, Brooklyn, New York. The women will talk about themselves and read an excerpt from their own picture book. Afterwards they will join Samuel King and Barbara for what should be a very interesting and lively discussion. Due to increasing demands at home the co-host Lori Calabrisi, who has done a wonderful job of working the phones and chat room needs to give up her duties. She will be missed very much! C. (Chila) Maggie Woychik has over 75 published articles and poems in print magazines including War Cry, Wesleyan Life, Christian Home and School, Woman’s Touch (Leadership Edition), Young Salvationist, Purpose, Seek, Women Alive!, Evangel, Cross & Quill, and others, and ezines such as Christian Women Today (now TheLife.com), Haruah, Digital Dragon, and others. Her first book, I Run to the Hills: Reflections on the Christian Journey, has been released. Maggie will be talking about herself so everyone can get to know her. Our guests for the show are Donna McDine, Lea Schizas, and a mystery guest. Tuesday, December 22nd at 3PM Central Time Host Barbara Ehrentreu and her co-host Lori Calabrese are pleased to present a very special Christmas show featuring Sally Drumm and the members of Milspeak. Milspeak is an organization consisting of people in the service who enjoy writing. There is a book entitled Milspeak edited by Sally Drumm. Sally will be speaking about the origins of Milspeak and there will be readings by the writers of Milspeak. Please tune in to hear these wonderful writers. There is a possibility that several of them will be reading an entire play. Also there will be individual readings as well. You can find Milspeak, edited by Sally Drumm in all the usual book places including Amazon. We hope you can join us for our first Christmas show. In January the show will again turn back to the original time slot on the 4th Thursday of every month.
