Podcasts:
Walking Dead. We discuss Robert Kirkman & AMC's 'The Walking Dead'. What it is, how it translates from comic to cable television, where it's headed, and why we love it.
Pet Adoption. We discuss pet adoption, puppy mills, as well as the Missouri Prop B bill that Governor Jay Nixon and the Missouri legislature re-wrote despite being passed overwhelmingly by voters.
Concealed Carry. We discuss Concealed Carry in the state of Missouri, our personal experiences with the CCW class, and briefly touch on the controversial Trayvon Martin case.
History's Mysteries. We discuss some strange places and things from around the world. Including Puma Punku, Winchester Mystery House, & the Voynich Manuscript, & more.
JFK Assassination. The JFK assassination and the conspiracies associated with it are discussed in our eighth episode. Was Lee Harvey Oswald responsible for killing the President, or was he just a patsy? Join us as we get to the bottom of the most controversial assassination in our country's history.
MMA Retirements. Our buddy Dave joins us as we discuss Jon Jones and his refusal to fight Chael Sonnen as well as who should stay and who should go as retirements are concerned in the UFC. Some fighters have been around for many years now. Both Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva have been thrilling fans for years, but should either one hang up the gloves?
Dark Knight Trilogy. We talk about Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. These three films have given Batman fans plenty to talk about and plenty to cheer about. From the dark, gothic start in Batman Begins to the epic tale of The Dark Knight and the thrilling finale in The Dark Knight Rises, we have been able to see Bruce Wayne in an almost real world setting. It should be said, there are spoilers in here for those who have yet to see them.
Privacy. We discuss privacy, as it relates to a right as a citizen of the USA, and whether or not losing it has been worth the price in this post-9/11 world. The government's response to terrorism on home soil has been to send the message that it will use any means necessary to discover and stop terrorists before they can act. Suffering collateral damage is a citizen's right to privacy when home security is at stake.
Piracy. We discuss media & content piracy with our friend Adam. SOPA, PIPA, & other legislative actions are the government's response to pressure from media content providers who are still finding their footing in this digital age. The general public wants content to be made readily available no matter where they are or what services they are subscribed to. Exclusivity and outdated content delivery systems are frustrating many fans of television and cable TV programs that they wish to see, but don't have easy access to.
MMA All Time Greats. We discuss Fedor Emelianenko's recent retirement, his place in all time MMA rankings, and current UFC greats. Note: During the podcast I mention the Barnett-Fedor fight that never happened as being under the Strikeforce promotion. I should have said Affliction instead. I also didn't get Julio Cesar Chavez's name correct.
The Staircase. We discuss the events surrounding the death of his wife, Kathleen Peterson, and the conviction and subsequent release of her husband, Michael, pending a retrial. Was he a murderer? Or was he a victim himself? This is one of the most fascinating cases in recent American history with different clues that either point to the suspect or away from him.
Jury Duty. We discuss Justin's experiences serving as a jury member in a homicide case. For those who have never served on a jury or have much knowledge of how our court system works, this should be very enlightening.
