Episode 12: The Last Boy Scout | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:43

In our latest episode, we take on the 1991 action comedy The Last Boy Scout. Bruce Willis. Damon Wayans. Taylor Negron. Billy Blanks. A cat puppet. What's not to like? This is the movie that Bruce Willis made after two Die Hards. This is the movie Tony Scott directed with Top Gun on his resume. This is the movie Shane Black wrote after doing two Lethal Weapons. We had fond memories of this movie... In this episode, we discuss where Joe Hallenbeck ranks on the list of Bruce WIllis's down and out characters, the desensitized nature of early '90s LA, and the idea of fixing a football game for a win. This episode, as they say, is the kind that shreds.

 Episode 11: Timecop | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:43

We have a special place in our hearts for shitty movie science AND naked karate, so it was only a matter of time before we covered the Jean-Claude Van Damme classic Timecop. Part Terminator and part Groundhog Day, Timecop is, as Adam admits, the second best Van Damme movie in which he plays two versions of himself. Like any good time travel movie, it's riddled with plot holes and faulty logic, but when you add in the fact that the script only exists to bride the scenes between epic splits, you get one mess of a movie. Check out the full episode where we discuss why a small, covert time travel police agency needs its own internal affairs department, and where those goddamn sleds go when you travel in time.

 Episode 10: Entrapment | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:25

Everyone loves a heist, and this episode we're covering the one that has the most lasers: Entrapment, starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Let's not beat around the bush. This movie only exists for the "laser ballet in a cat suit" scene. Very little of the plot makes any sense and most of the characters are worthless. And yet Entrapment holds up because it checks all the right heist movie boxes: elaborate training montage, single-serving heist gear, drawing on blueprints with a red chisel-tip marker, and prized artifacts with no historical or cultural significance.\ Check out the episode to hear us attempt to explain the end of the movie, talk about our favorite heist gear, and interview a very special guest!

 Episode 09: Robocop (Original) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:51

With the new Robocop movie coming to theaters this week, we wanted to go back and relive all the magic (and science) of the original Robocop from 1987. We dive into the big questions, like "Why is everyone so bad at their job?" and "What are the corporate policies at OCP?" Join us as we discuss why they kept Murphy's face, the grim realities of toxic waste, and all things ED-209.

 Episode 08: Olympus Has Fallen | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:08:17

Netflix kept recommending it to us, so we watched—and deconstructed—Olympus Has Fallen. This movie bears a striking resemblance to every other action movie you've ever seen or heard of, especially White House Down, Die Hard, In the Line of Fire, Commando, Red Dawn, and Kiss the Girls. Join us as we discuss the Cerberus doomsday device, the logistics of relocating 37,000 troops in an hour, and the battery life of Gerard Butler's bluetooth headset. It's a fun one, you guys. If you like what you hear, please rate us on iTunes. If you don't, please leave scathing notes in our comments section. We have fruit baskets and apology letters standing by.

 Episode 07: Con Air | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:30

In this episode, we're talking about the Air Force One of Nicolas Cage movies, Con Air. With at least 25% new jokes not already used in our live-tweet of the movie, check out our episode as we discuss AZZ KIKR, the amazing coincidences that advance the plot, and whatever the hell led to a little girl playing with dolls in an abandoned swimming pool. We had a lot of fun recording this episode, hopefully you enjoy listening. Let us know what you like and tell us what we missed in the comments!

 Episode 06: Die Hard 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:08

It's the holiday season, so we're deconstructing the second greatest Bruce Willis Christmastime action movie, Die Hard 2: Die Harder. Join us as we discuss airphones and fax machines, Colonel Stuart's naked karate, Leslie Barnes's indestructible winter parka,  and the dumb luck of John McClane. Yippee-ki-yay, Mr. Falcon!

 Episode 05: Commando | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:39

In this episode we discuss the most quintessentially Arnold movie ever: the 1985 masterpiece Commando.  Join us as we discuss the properties of Type 4 jet fuel, the contents of those sandwiches Jenny Matrix makes, and the militarization of bulletproof rose bushes. So let off some steam and enjoy the episode. Unless, of course, you're dead tired.

 Episode 04: The Core | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:50

We discuss the 2003 disaster (movie) The Core, starring Aaron Eckhart, Hilary Swank, Stanley Tucci, and Delroy Lindo as they tunnel to the center of the earth to save it with nuclear bombs. It's like Armageddon for voles. Check out the episode to hear our discussion of the magical, plot-advancing qualities of Unobtainium, the grace and dignity of Stanley Tucci, and the most blatant disregard for science we've ever seen on film.

Episode 03: Limitless | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In this episode, we discuss the 2011 drug-addiction-fueled thriller Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper. Cooper is turning this into a TV series, and we take sides on whether that's a good idea or not. Check out the episode to hear us discuss the "10% myth," the universal power of day trading, and the science of taking drugs vampire-style.

 Episode 02: The Net | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:49

In this episode, we deconstruct the ultimate 90s technological fear-mongering thriller: The Net, with the girl from the bus (h/t Frank Costanza). We'll dive into the impressive social skills and physical health of a shut-in IT consultant, the invention of cell phone triangulation, and everyone's favorite computer utility: Terminal Echo. Just give us the disk and we'll give you your life back.

 Episode 01: Contact | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:36

Our first episode, in which we explore the sci-fi/romance/fantasy drama Contact starring Nell and Matthew McConaughey's scarf. We examine the first rule of government spending, the smarminess of James Woods, and whatever "hydrogen times pi" means. Small moves...
