Cheese by Hand show

Cheese by Hand

Summary: Cheese by Hand is a project conceptualized by Michael Claypool and Sasha Davies to explore the landscape of artisan (hand-made) cheesemaking in the United States. The goal is to capture the experience of cheesemakers around the country, in their own voices, and share them with consumers and cheese fans everywhere. We hope that this will promote understanding and support for the products themselves and also the variety of farms that make up our country?s agricultural system.

3 Corner Field Farm Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

We actually visited 3 Corner on our way back into NYC at the end of our trip but felt that they ought to be included in the Northeast push because there are some common themes we find interesting.  Westfield Farm Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Bob and Debbie at Westfield Farm are a rare find. They slipped into the artisan cheese business more serendipitously than many.  Interview clips from Dancing Cow Farm | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This is the first cheese producer that I’ve posted about here and spoken to without visiting their operation. It is definitely a different experience and it presented some technological challenges like recording a phone conversation with decent enough quality to then serve it up on the web for others to hear. Steve and Karen Getz [...]

Twig Farm Interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Today is our interview with Michael Lee at Twig Farm. Twig Farm is in West Cornwall, VT.
