Rather than throw out the whole Bible because we don’t understand some things, we need to research it ourselves. Then, at some point, we need to come to a place of choosing to believe it and meet Jesus as our Savior who offers us eternal life.

God announced the birth of Jesus in great ways, and now He uses believers to announce that Jesus will return, and to share with others about how He can change their lives!

God-built character is the "rebar" of our life. It's the strength that holds us together in times of disaster, troubles, trials. When others see the character that God's developing in us, and how it keeps us strong, they're attracted to our character Provider!

God isn't interested in what we can do for Him, He's interested in what He can do through us! That's why He picked us- to be in relationship with Him and follow Him in obedience.

Prejudice healing - racial, social, economic - doesn't begin with the government, but with the church! Christ-followers are commanded to treat all people, whether or not they're believers, with love and kindness, because in Jesus there's no one unloved. "They'll know we are Christians by our love..."

What's it mean to "stand in the gap" for someone? There are many people in our lives who need to know God and who are hurting without Him. So the believer, through Christ, stands between that person and God with prayer!

Sometimes we may feel we aren't getting clear answers from God. So it's in fasting and prayer that we can truly ask and see His will. It's not a secret formula that gets us answers when we want it, but we may as well fast and pray when there's something burdening our heart, because that's what God calls us to do!

There are plenty of evils in this world. Yet we, as God's followers, have the power in Jesus' name to fight against the powers of darkness. And that can happen because He dwells in us so that we can become more like Him!

God’s grace, given to us by the power of the cross, is what enables us no matter how much we’ve messed up in the past. If we'd just get "past our past", and let God use us anyway, there's no telling what could happen for the Kingdom!

Jesus was forsaken by God when He submitted to His death on the cross. And because of this act, we can be in right standing with God and never be forsaken. God will never turn His back on us through the trials and difficulties of life!

The Bible expresses the importance of gathering together as God's family for encouragement, accountability, and to help the hurting. One of the best ways we can avoid drifting away from God, is simply to show up consistently and be an active part of our church family!

If you're a believer in Christ, you have a new covering, a new "birthday suit". So God now sees you thru the covering of Jesus' blood of redemption, mercy and forgiveness. By the way, this is the only way that God will allow us to come into His presence!

In order for a man to be the right kind of person, husband, and father, he must love God first and foremost, then love himself and others. He must be "Mr. Righteous", not "Mr. Right" or "Mr. Right Now"!

The Bible tells us that we're all losers, yet God chose to love us anyway. So we must live our lives responding to His love, not building up our own pride, but rather glorifying Him in everything we do. We're something, because He's everything!

It’s way too easy for us all to spend time improving who we are on the outside - how we look, what we wear, what we drive - and ignore who we are on the inside. Which one do you think actually matters? And which one do you think God’s interested in improving?
