Derek Prince Legacy Radio 15 Minute Format

Derek continues looking at kinds and causes of rejection such as an orphan might experience, or the break-up of a marriage, or self-rejection. He then looks at the remedy… the cross, where Jesus experienced first rejection from His own people, the Jews, and then from His own Father God, leading to His death of a broken heart.

Beginning in this session Derek looks at rejection, which he terms the deepest wound of the human spirit. It is more than emotions although that is affected; it’s something that goes deeper into the very spirit of a person and can begin even while in the womb before you are born.

Today Derek looks at shame we experience and how Jesus bore our shame on the cross as He hung there, despising his nakedness. He was put on view for all to see, bearing that shame for all mankind that we may see ours exchanged for His glory and be cleansed and healed.

Derek begins this study by looking at guilt and the remedy for it through the Lamb who carries away our sin. We obtain forgiveness of sin by confessing it and receiving our forgiveness, then walking in the righteousness Christ has provided for us; a righteousness which has never known sin, which has no guilty past, and which has nothing to be ashamed of.

Derek begins this subject of protection from deception by talking about the need to judge any manifestations of supernatural signs by the Word of God. His concern is that the people of God not be deceived by anything, but that our belief in and love for the truth keep us steady in our walk with the Lord.

Derek finishes this week’s message by looking at how the Lord confirmed the preached Word in Scripture—with signs and wonders. He is just the same today. Derek then looks at the two words, ministers and servants, pointing out that they have the same meaning. This is what we are to be: ministers or servants of the Word.

Derek speaks on the faithfulness and power of the Scriptures, exhorting us to place our trust in them and not to be moved. The Word of God is the source from which we can confidently speak and teach, knowing that as we do, God will confirm His Word.

In this session Derek continues with the conditions we must meet to be victorious Christians. Then he goes on to look at what it means to have a form of godliness but deny its power. There are those who seem to want spiritual help, but really aren’t serious with God. Since the days will come when there will be opposition from the occult, we must be ready for it.

Today Derek addresses the importance of denying our self-pleasing desires, and the need to take up our cross and follow Jesus. We are to be His disciples and learn from Him how we are to live. The cross is the place where we must make decisions that will forever affect our future.

Derek begins his study this week by looking at Paul’s warning to Timothy concerning eighteen attitudes that will overtake people in the last days. Among these moral blemishes are three in particular that Derek highlights. These are the love of self, love of money, and love of pleasure. Derek points out that these people have a form of godliness; being professing Christians who are deceived by these worldly lures. And Jesus taught His disciples about this in His Parable of Seed Sown.

Today Derek finishes this theme by addressing the need for believers to think and live under another government—the government of God. He challenges us, the church, to speak up in the midst of wrongs and present the truth of God's Word in every situation. Be a true representative, an ambassador of heaven.

Derek speaks about the need for a man to demonstrate love and discipline in order to raise successful children. He then goes into what it means to be a man of God by looking at elders in the New Testament church. For an elder to rule well, he must stand out in front of his family and his church. The concepts there are leadership and protection.

Derek today looks at God’s view of Abraham as a father who commanded his children. It is stressed in the book of Malachi that God hates divorce. Parents, especially fathers, need to be an example to their children, teaching them to be godly offspring, not children abandoned to the Destroyer.

Jesus went to the cross in obedience to His Father. Derek uses this progression to show the order of authority—coming down from God to Jesus, and then to the husband and father, and on to the wife and mother. The father is commissioned to be priest, prophet, and king in the family, fulfilling the responsibilities given to him.
