She is  a clinical assistant professor in epidemiology at the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine. She received her MD degree from Wayne State University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Washington. Dr. Lindsay is a licensed naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist and CEO of Hawthorn Holistic Health, a family natural medicine practice in Hamden, Connecticut.  She attended University of Bridgeport for both her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and her Masters of Science in Acupuncture. Prior to Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Chimileski completed her Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies at University of Connecticut. Dr. Chimileski’s love of plants, passion for natural medicine and experiences working at psychiatric hospital during her undergrad all lead her to naturopathic medicine.   Dr. Chimileski is greatly influenced by many healers. Throughout her education, she developed a strong mentorship with Dr. Eugene Zampieron while participating for many years of his EcoTours ethnobotany trips to Jamaica. She became enamored with the Jamaican people, culture and use of plant medicines. She continued to write her thesis on some of these plant medicines.
