GRAMMY® WINNER TERRI LYNE CARRINGTON  PAYS HOMAGE TO DUKE ELLINGTON’S MONEY JUNGLE Drummer, composer, producer and clinician, Terri Lyne Carrington, was born in 1965 in Medford, Massachusetts. After an extensive touring career of over 20 years with luminaries like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Al Jarreau, Stan Getz, David Sanborn, Joe Sample, Cassandra Wilson, Clark Terry, Dianne Reeves and more, she recently returned to her hometown where she was appointed professor at her alma mater, Berklee College of Music. Terri Lyne also received an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music in 2003.After studying under full scholarship at Berklee, with the encouragement of her mentor, Jack DeJohnette, Terri Lyne moved to New York in 1983. For 5 years she was a much in-demand musician, working with James Moody, Lester Bowie, Pharoah Sanders, and others. In the late '80s she relocated to Los Angeles, where she gained recognition on late night TV as the house drummer for the Arsenio Hall Show, then again in the late '90s as the drummer on the Quincy Jones late night TV show, VIBE, hosted by Sinbad.  

Lincoln Heights actor/singer Mishon is all grown up. This maturity is evident in his new record "Older Girl," a nostalgic 90s-inspired ballad, which sees the crooner declaring, "I could be your daddy." Singer and former model Claudette Ortiz made a splash on the music scene as the lead singer of the popular R&B/Hip-hop group City High. The trio, best known for their 2001 Grammy®-nominated single "What Would You Do?" disbanded in 2003. Internationally renowned flutist Hubert Laws is one of the few classical artists who has also mastered jazz, pop, and rhythm-and-blues genres; moving effortlessly from one repertory to another. He has appeared as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta, with the orchestras of Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Cleveland, Amsterdam, Japan, Detroit and with the Stanford String Quartet. He has given annual performances at Carnegie Hall, and has performed sold out performances in the Hollywood Bowl with fellow flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal and was a member of the New York Philharmonic and Metropolitan Opera Orchestras. In addition, he has appeared at the Montreux, Playboy, and Kool Jazz festivals; he performed with the Modern Jazz Quartet at the Hollywood Bowl in 1982 and with the Detroit Symphony in 1994. His recordings have won three Grammy nominations. "To me, there's only two kinds of music: the kind that's from the heart and the kind that's not," Jeff Golub says while discussing Train Keeps A Rolling, his 12th album under his own name, and his third for Entertainment One Music.  "Regardless of the style or genre, music is either real or it's not real.  I like any kind of music that's from the heart, and that's the kind that I try to make." Those qualities are all prominent on Train Keeps A Rolling, a sublimely soulful set that matches Golub's compelling guitar work with the talents of legendary English keyboardist Brian Auger, whose iconic organ playing is a cornerstone of British rock, jazz and R&B, and whose seminal '70s jazz-rock band, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express, was a crucial early influence upon Golub's musical consciousness.    Golub and Auger's vibrant rapport is apparent throughout Train Keeps A Rolling, driving a lively batch of soul-jazz numbers that includes the Golub-penned title track and "J&B" and some beloved items from Auger's vintage repertoire (i.e. the instrumentals "Isola Natale" and "Shepherds Bush Market," and the vocal tunes "Happiness Is Just Around The Bend" and "Whenever You're Ready"), along with infectious instrumental readings of classics by soundtrack composer Lalo Schifrin ("The Cat"), blues icon Willie Dixon ("Live The Life I Love") and soul legend Curtis Mayfield ("Pusherman").

Katlynn Simone, born Katlynn Simone Smith in Houston, TX, is a singer, song-writer, dancer, and actress. Constantly exposed to an array of music, she developed a love for singing at a very young age. This was nurtured with vocal lessons and musical summer camps throughout the Houston area. Soon Katlynn was introduced to singing competitions and local commercials. She discovered musical theater as a young performer at Houston’s prestigious Ensemble Theater and soon was performing for sold out productions nightly. During the summers she would travel to Los Angeles and New York where she would participate in student films. Katlynn continued to study musical theater at the High School For The Visual and Performing Arts in Houston.
