Write Time Audio

Thanks to everyone who joined us last night! I'm SOOOO sorry that Ellie was so fussy. She is only 6-weeks old after all! We worked to time everything right with her feeding and all to do the broadcast uninterrupted, but she had her own plan :P There's a little crying here and there, but that is our life right now! We didn't want to stop/cancel the broadcast, so you'll just hear a little baby noise in the background.

It was great to be back this week! We had a fun broadcast, and got to show off our beautiful little girl. Brian Gray was kind enough to join us by phone for a few minutes to talk about his new production line Herald pen, as well as several other models he has in the works (links below). We laid out timelines for a whole host of new products coming out.

This was our last broadcast of 2011, and the last before the birth of our little girl! We spent a lot of time talking about everything we've been doing to prepare for our baby, and the logistics of the new products we have coming in over the next few weeks. We'll be tied up with family needs, so we won't be doing Write Time for at least the next few weeks. We'll announce when we're coming back once we see how things go with a new life with two kids!

Last night we had two big things to launch! One was the introduction of De Atramentis inks on GouletPens.com, and the other is the new writing comparison tool called the Nib Nook. We've been working for months to develop the Nib Nook, which is a tool that allows you to view easily comparable writing samples with all of the different pen models and nib sizes that we carry. Like the ink samples and Swab Shop, it's a revolutionary tool that we hope will be incredibly useful.

We're back with another Write Time! This time, on YouTube, due to popular demand :) I was finally able to figure out how to both record on my computer and broadcast at the same time…it's a bit more work for me to go and post the video on YouTube instead of just using the embedded video on JustinTV, but it's worth it to avoid some of the technical issues some of you have been having with previous videos.

We certainly had a lot to talk about in this broadcast! Well, I almost accidentally canceled last night's broadcast! We were debating about doing it or not, mainly because Rachel has been really burned out this week and we had a dinner arrangement with my parents. The dinner fell through and Rachel felt good, so we kept the broadcast. I'd originally titled yesterday's post 'Write Time Canceled 11/9/11', but when I wrote about everything we were going to talk about, I forgot to change it! Silly me….you'd think after nearly 500 blog posts I would do a goof like that :P And yeah, 500 posts is right around the corner! I'll hit it in the next two weeks, probably.

It was nice to actually have in some of the new products we have been talking about! We got to play with the new TWSBI bottle, black matte Lamy Dailog 3, and Taccia Savanna. We recapped on Tuesday's flex pen release, which went amazingly smooth! The pens loaded right at noon, we had no bog-down and all went well! Finally, I think we've figured it out. That's much better hope for the Ahabs ;)

Thanks to everyone who joined us live in this broadcast! We didn't have a lot of new product info this week because just about everything new is in transit to us right now. We took some trips down memory lane with the early days of GPC and Ink Nouveau. We're in a bit of a nostalgic mood having just moved our business out of our house, and having an empty garage again just like when we first moved into our house. It's encouraging to see that so many of you still came to our broadcast to hang out with us even though we didn't have a lot of writing stuff to talk about. Thanks for all of the fellowship and support you've given us, we really do appreciate it!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for yesterday's broadcast! Believe it or not, we actually kept it to just over an hour…I can't remember the last time we did that!!! The chat was lively and we covered fun stuff.

Nathan Tardif of Noodler's Ink was nice enough to give us some of his precious time to clarify some of the Noodler's ink properties. We spent a good hour and forty minutes answering all kinds of questions on inks, flex pens, and future prototypes of Noodler's pens. Nathan was kind enough to send us some pictures of future pens he plans to roll out. I know these pics will be a TOTAL tease, especially because we don't have any estimated time for their arrival. But it gives you an idea of the kind of cool things that Nathan's working on.

Boy, it was great to be back! We missed everyone last week, but we certainly had enough to talk about this week. Sheaffer VFM's, TWSBI ROC-100's, Noodler's Flex Pens, our big move for our business....just excitement all around.
