Romans 8:9 - You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Why is it that so many people would rather laugh at the mindless humor of the world then weep tears of bitterness because of their sin before God?
Brethren, you want peace and to be more like Christ? Put your gaze upon the beauty of the Lord. Oh may we never look to the law, but always to Christ! Christ is the beginning and the end of the Christian life!
2 Peter 1:5 - For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tim exhorts a young man to hold fast to the biblical teachings of the scriptures and not be lured away by the temptations of sin.
So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. - Romans 6:11
Why is it that so many people are running to pornography and masturbation? It's because they're not satisfied in Christ. This is what leads a person to prostitute themselves to an idol.
In this video Tim talks about the battle in the mind to abstain from lustful thoughts.
God does not pour out His wrath on sin but on the sinner. Ezekiel 22:22 - As silver is melted in a furnace, so you shall be melted in the midst of it, and you shall know that I am the LORD; I have poured out my wrath upon you.
What keeps the ranks in order is humility. What keeps those ranks tight is that we are willing to be stepped on that Christ might be glorified. - Tim Conway
Brethren there is such a peace in looking and gazing at the beauty of Christ. If you are looking at your feelings and don't feel right, you must turn from that to Christ! Don't look to your feelings!
Why is it that when we study the books that men have written we study so diligently, but when it comes to the good Word of God we study it so leisurely, so casually!?
What motivates you to do what you do? Is it motivated by a love for Christ and the glory of God? Or are you pursuing your own selfish desires and going against the Will of God?
Paul Washer exhorts young people to not waste their lives and not to pursue theology, but to pursue Christ.
