There are always stories about odd things going on out there in the desert, but it’s 1982 so most parents don’t really consider the world a dangerous place and kids stay out with their friends until the streetlights come on. Let’s see what mystery finds them and how they deal with the pressure of growing up and experiencing the weird at the same time. But the Emperor has a plan to end the fighting, and it involves a minor, troublesome minor family nestled in the Asai Valley, far in Crane territory.
