The Adam and Dr. Drew Show
Summary: Adam Carolla & Dr. Drew Pinsky reunite the partnership that made Loveline a wild success and cultural touchstone. In each episode Adam and Drew take uncensored, nothing-off-limits, calls about sex, drug, medical and relationship issues. Dr. Drew brings the medicine while Adam's comedy and rants are the spoonful of sugar to make it go down.
Adam opens the show somewhat worked up from yesterday's show and dumbfounded by the stupidity of Americans. They then turn to the phones and Adam fields a question about his movie making endeavors as well as his forthcoming live show on Spike. They then speak to another caller who is having trouble with food addiction and has a question about a new drug.
Adam and Drew open the show with Adam talking about a recent radio show he was listening to where a California Assemblywoman was guesting and talking about Ashely Furniture moving out of state. They then turn to the phones and speak to a caller who is following up on a call he made to Drew's podcast recently regarding an STD and another who smokes a fair bit of weed and is wondering if it may manifest itself as a problem down the road.
Adam opens the show telling Drew about a trip to Jay Leno's shop that he took today with a couple of fans who flew out from Chicago to visit with Adam and go see Jay's collection. They then talk to a caller who feels that in general he deals with regret well but recently has been feeling a ton of regret over a decision he made. They also speak to a caller who was spanked as a child and is wondering if that's a practice he should be carrying over to his children.
Adam opens the show discussing with Drew the strange wiring he has when it comes to holidays in that he has no desire to observe them but does understand when others would like to. Drew then points out that in the previous week he and Adam's wives were both in New York having fun while they were working. They then turn to the phones and speak to a caller who is in the midst of driving to a spiritual retreat and another who is trying to figure out when to respect one's opinion.
Adam and Drew open today's show talking about how much bigger Phil has gotten as of late and how he's been loving his life especially since the installation of the Carolla family pool. They then quickly turn to the phones and speak to a gentlemen whose wife was recently diagnosed with borderline personality disorder or bipolar disease.
Adam opens the show talking to Dr. Drew about a realization he had that in the early 2000s that he is now realizing was just simply well ahead of its time. They then turn to the phone and speak to callers including one who is having recurring pain after a back operation. Adam then tells Drew about an experience watching the Rio Olympics with his son Sonny. Later they speak to a caller who is having trouble with a gambling addiction that he is hiding from his wife.
Adam and Drew open the show discussing the fact that Adam will be heading out to go racing in Monterey on Sonny's first day of school and despite that Adam will be taking Sonny with him. They then turn to the phones and speak to a caller who is wondering if there is a correlation between schizophrenia and alcohol abuse before Adam takes a small detour to tell Drew a story about his mother and her recent purchase. They then turn back to the phones and speak to a few more callers as the show winds down.
Adam and Drew open the show going quickly to the phones and speaking to a caller who has anxiety that he feels is brought on by having to deal with and cover for lazy and inept people at his job. The guys also discuss the idea of wealth redistribution and how it has historically gone when attempted.
Adam and Drew open the show talking about Julius Wechter and the now seemingly lost influence of horns on music in the world today. Then they speak to a caller who has a few pop culture references that exemplify one of Adam's theories on victim mentality, leading into a much larger conversation on the issue. As the show wraps up they speak to a Xanax addict who is looking for advice on how to ween himself off the drug.

After helping the caller with the problems he's been having with his father's motivation they move into a discussion about motivation in general and how the 'slippery slope' analogy applies very well to motivation. They then turn back to the phones and talk to a few more callers as the show wraps up.

Later as the show wraps up they talk to a caller suffering from PTSD after being robbed at gunpoint and then stabbed not too long after, both incidents occurring at work.

They then turn to the phones and have an unusual conversation with a private investigator as well as speaking to a caller wondering how to balance work with being a new parent.
Adam and Drew open the show discussing a travel issue that Drew's wife Susan is experiencing as we record this episode. They then turn to the phones and speak to a caller who had a horrific experience in his life that his family largely shielded him from and he is debating investigating years later. Later they speak to a caller who is about to start a new job and looking to make a good impression. As the show wraps up, Adam comes clean on a little white lie he's been telling for years.
