  ''Hi, I'm Robin Andrews, I currently write and DJ under the pseudonyms 'Deep Focus' and 'Conduct' (the latter with Chris 'Sencae' Edwards). I've been writing music as long as I can remember. Some of it has been really shit, but in the last few years I've been feeling it's less shit, and others have started to agree. I've received support from DJ Fresh, Bachelors of Science, Diffrent Music, Troy Gunner, L.A.O.S, Synkro & Indigo to name a few. After an inexcusably gothic childhood, it wasn't until my first year of university that my love for D&B spawned, thanks to a particularly lean chap I lived with in first year rinsing Dillinja & Zinc 24/7. I immediately killed my student loan on a macbook, bought a huge sub & a copy of Reason and proceeded to make some of the most ridiculous shit I've ever heard in my life. I will forever be grateful for the patience of my flatmates during that time. Thankfully, by third year, my writing started to make a bit more sense, and 'Heavy Metal' and 'The Light' were picked up by Maris Goudzwaard for the revered Youtube Channel & now label - 'Liquicity' - and at roughly the same time, I was noticed (I think…I don't completely remember) by Velcro City Records, who released a number of my early tracks over a couple of years. I went on to create, produce and present the 'Liquicity Podcast' for 7 episodes with just under 500,000 listeners over a few months. Since then, I've signed tracks with Black Reign, digitalGewitter, Incognito and Lifestyle Recordings. I've amassed close to 3,000,000 total views on YouTube alone. I've DJ'd around the country, got to meet some of my idols and even travelled out to Prague for the 'Imagination Festival' this year, which was incredible. I've been writing with Chris 'Sencae' since January this year as 'Conduct'. We're currently focusing on our production and building a roster of tunes, and hope to emerge with with a bang for our first set at Cable in January next year at the Black Sun Empire night. You might be able to catch a sneaky peek of our material in the mix somewhere. This mix is a collection of my utter favourite tunes, tracks that blow my mind, tracks that make me go 'How the fuck did they do that?' and give me something to aspire to when i'm making my own beats. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
