The God Whisperers

MDDs Donofrio and Cwirla suffer through post-election traumatic stress syndrome and babble endlessly over Mom’s basement, smoking weed in Denver, technology induced brain shrinkage, “Lutheran Amish,” the establishment of “Christianopolis,” Lutheran reproduction, and Epitome article III on justification as imputed righteousness.  Good luck keeping up with this one. Oh, and lots of Dropkick Murphys just to keep things lively.

  Beer and Germans, a medley of GW solid gold music hits from the Rudy playlist, MDD Donofrio’s upcoming move into his mom’s basement, and Formula of Concord article 3 on the righteousness of faith in Christ with a little side riff on objective and subjective justification.  And who says we don’t talk about theology?

A fragrant edition of the God Whisperers in which the Manly Doctors ponder Calvinism and “irresistible Grace,” correct a few misconception, deal with “biblical diets,” original sin, and whether garlic juice is capable of demagnetizing iron or Calvinists.  Also a little Bohemian Rhapsody and some more Squirrel Nut Zippers.  An episode befitting the stinking rose.

Stephen Anderson on  the importance of “pissing against the wall.”  Disturbing, compelling, enlightening and even entertaining.

Another manic Monday with the Manly Doctors of Divinity.  We deal with some listener email including a child’s question on the distinction between hypostasis and ousia in the doctrine of the Trinity, a pericopal discussion on Mark 6:1-13, and a revival of Mrs. Miller in addition to Donofrio having some sort of “moment.”  Hey, it’s Monday after all!
