Denise Geesey And Dorene Heeter - Communicating For Change | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:54

One thing never changes: things always change. Leaders must proactively recognize changing currents and make decisions for the most effective approaches to ministry. We may need to recast our focus or prayerfully make a new strategy. Is God calling you to make a shift in children's ministry programs? This workshop will help you identify vision, communicate the change and provide an effective, practical case study of a ministry program that has undergone a missional change in order to reach its community for Christ. Denise is a US missionary appointed by the Assemblies of God to reach communities for Jesus Christ. Denise previously has served as children’s pastor at Sound Life Church and has many years of experience as a school teacher. Through her relational style of ministry leadership, Denise’s passion is to encourage parents, lay leaders, directors, and senior pastors to lead the children in their community in a growing relationship with Christ. One of her goals is to influence churches to expand their vision for children and families, assisting them to reach outside the walls of their church into the community.

 Craig Geis - Equpping families with Dude-eronomy 6_7 - BO #1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:43:19

This class is a reminder to each of us that we are to continually share God’s word with our children. We will be specifically looking at Deut. 6:7 where God makes it clear as to when we should share, and what we should share with our children. Discover ways to equip parents and help them recognize the importance of primary spiritual leadership of their children. From the time Craig began doing puppets in kid’s church at the age of twelve, he felt called to full time ministry; oddly enough, it just took him awhile to figure out that he was called to full time ministry to kids. It was while serving in variety of venues that he was reminded how amazing it is to see the spiritual lights go on in a child’s life, and how important it is to reach these young hearts while they are still tender. Craig and his wife, Heidi, have served in children’s ministry at Spokane First Assembly since 2000, with Craig taking over as the full time Children’s Pastor in 2004. A great believer in equipping the next generation for ministry, he is currently teaching his two sons: Spencer (12), and Sam (10) to do puppets.
