 Sun of a Podcast #22 7 Days Later | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:44:57

Woah... 2 weeks on the bounce and you're treated to another episode of the RedSunGamer podcast. Hosts Martin and Steven come to you live (sort of) and direct from Nagoya, Japan, to share their first week experiences with their shiny new 3DSs as well as some first-hand accounts of other people's reactions to the 3DS. Catherine is once again on the menu with the US release date being announced. Then we get into the Yakuza 5 demo which was released on March 3rd, unbeknownst to Martin who got sidetracked by the Catherine and a 3DS-induced RSG gaming frenzy. After escaping the jaws of a crazy zombie attack in Kamurocho we're swallowed whole by a hungry monster a la Innerspace, where we digest our dinners and talk about Pixel Junk's new game, Shooter2. Strap yourselves in, as Episode 22 is about to take off.

 Sun of a Podcast #21 Nintendo 3DS & Catherine | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:43:45

After a two month hiatus RedSunGamer is back, back just in time to cover the 3DS launch here in Japan. Steven and Martin discuss Nintendo's new glasses-free 3D hand-held, as well as Level 5's beautiful Professor Layton, Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Namco's rush job Ridge Racer 3D. We also talk about the awesome puzzle platforming/horror game Catherine by Atlus.

Sun of a Podcast #20 Two Guys No Agenda | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:19:23

Join Brian and Martin as they enter a land with no agenda. Episode 20 was recorded on the 23rd of December 2010. Steven had already flown to Chicago to be with his family for Christmas and lashing of home-made food. Shane was too busy with his new lady friend, so it was left to Brian and Martin to steer the ship. Video Games, Police and biker gangs included. How did we do? Well, that's for you to decide.

 Sun of a Podcast #19 Take 3 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:24:10

Introducing a friend of the show, please welcome Brain. Shane's off doing what he does best, chasing women and DJ'ing. Steve opens up with a long-winded account of a recent Japanese Bounenkai (End-of-the-year Party) and business trip with Kamurocho-esque hostesses. Then the conversation rolls into a discussion of Kaz's magnum opus, Gran Turismo 5. Afterwards, Steve cracks open the 352 page behemoth Magic Master that comes with Ni no Kuni for the DS and recites some Astrum language deciphered into Japanese and translated into English. Martin and Brian try their best to protect themselves from the deranged otaku. The mood turns celebratory as Martin recounts how he got his wife to finally play and even enjoy a video game using the Kinect, cue Lady GaGa. Then the discussion turns to Kinect and whether it is suitable for Japanese dwellings.

Sun of a Podcast #18 Bimbou Hima Nashi HD | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:08:16

Shane finds out that golden headphones attract the strangest people. Martin goes overboard with Bimbou Hima Nashi (No Money No Time) and Steven introduces us to some very useful software that will benefit anybody who's trying to learn Japanese — and the best thing is, it's free. Japan shows us how not to advertise a western shooter, Microsoft demands GalGun changes, and we finally get a solid GT5 release date.

 Sun of a Podcast #17 Kinect Stalkers | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:27:49

Shane's back from dropping mushrooms with Mario at last weekend's Halloween party in Nagoya. We discuss Kinect and whether or not it's going to fit in an average Japanese home, and we get into the buy-out of Shinji Mikami's Tango Gameworks studio by Bethseda/Zenimax in his most recent interview in the latest issue of Famitsu, issue 1144.

Sun of a Podcast #16 Halloween Gangster Luigi | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:07:43

While Shane is out having fun at a Halloween party, Steven and Martin having both just finished Vanquish, share and compare their separate experiences through this amazingly stylistic 3rd person shooter. Then we move over to the Japanese PSN title Malicious, which did a remarkable job at making us green in the face, due to its terrible targeting camera. We did however have loads of fun playing 3 Big Gun Shoot (Japanese title) using the Move controllers, with Deadstorm Pirates being the stand-out title of the 3 games available on the disc. Steven then recounts how he took a time out from his beloved Halos for a naughty one-nighter with the Killzone 3 multiplayer alpha build. Then he talks briefly about the charming demo, Majin the Forsaken Kingdom, available for both the PS3 and 360. Midnight is certainly not the time I want to be stuck in class for Steven's Lingo Lab. Afterwards, I sleepwalk over to Zasshi Time so Steve can cover an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto about the Super Mario 25th Anniversary, which appears in the 200th issue of Nintendo Dream, and share new info on El Shaddai and Child of Eden from the latest Famitsu Weekly.
