Ps David Crabtree - We can’t do it by Law, but we can be righteous through Jesus. Paul leads us through his argument that despite the Law being good, it is useless for righteousness or salvation. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can save us from the frustration of not doing the good we want to do, or doing what we don’t want to do. Faith in Jesus saves and empowers us.
Ps David Crabtree - Paul, the writer of Colossians, opens up about Jesus being the creator of everything visible and invisible and having the complete fulness of God. A very powerful Jesus! That same Fullness is the power that is exerted in us when we believe in Him.
Ps Narelle Crabtree - Belief is way more than an intellectual assent to the reality of Jesus, it is marked by acceptance of Jesus and the ensuing radical, all brand new life that comes from being friends with the one you believe in and accept, it is devotion to a Savior you totally trust and confidently rely on and life is never the same
Ps David Crabtree - There are some times when roads need to be straightened, the rubble left by the enemy removed, and garment-exchange can take place. We can CHOOSE what garment we wear, and rejoice in the full empowerment of the Spirit on us.
Ps David Crabtree - The battle lines over Grace are being drawn with dire warnings given about the dangers of “hyper-grace”. In light of Paul’s own teaching, could he too be accused of teaching “hyper-grace”?
Ps Aaron Wiliamson - A word of encouragement... God says you are doing everything that I have asked. All that is required is for you to keep on doing it.
Ps Aaron Williamson - From the story of Lot and his wife we learn the important lessons of not looking back and not settling for small.
Ps Narelle Crabtree - Wherever you are, WHEREVER you are, and WHENEVER you are, His mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead is available for you, as promised in Isaiah 41:10 and confirmed in Ephesians 1:19.
Ps David Crabtree - That ain’t church?! Church is the Holy Spirit having release to extend the kingdom in a way He couldn’t do when we weren’t together… and putting into practice today with Communion together.
Ps Royree Jensen is Senior Pastor of River of Light Church in Logan City, Queensland. She delivers a down-to-earth perspective on spirituality arising from commentary on the early story of Samson. The listener, softened-up by the humour of her approach, is made ready and receptive to her insights and challenged/encouraged to make the move to “the next level”.
David Crabtree - John 20 records the first words Jesus spoke after rising from the dead. All His comments are powerful and are wonderful representations of the new relational era with His Father being both our God and Father. Blessed are those who have not seen Him, yet with their hearts believe.
Paul Manwaring - “Response-ability”: What Dad said to the elder son.
Narelle Crabtree - Jesus invites us to do life with Him, continuously refreshed by the presence of the Holy Spirit
Narelle Crabtree - The Holy Spirit has been highlighting several themes in this season so we can live well and share good news
Aaron Williamson - We start our new Sunday Night Series on Worship. From the story of King Jehoshaphat we learn that worship is a weapon.
