Having been shedding for a few hours this morning, I decided to run some tape and see if there was anything in my practicing today that was worth capturing for a podcast. As it turns out.... THERE WAS! came up with a few harmonic and time based ideas to work on, re discovered some old transcriptions from more than ten years ago, and worked on a new song for the next record. And since the last podcast I've launched a new section on my website dedicated to all the sheet music from both my officially released albums "Mystery to Me" and "Live at the 55bar". A rather long overdue episode four, but better late than never! I've been on the road pretty much solidly for the past month, and haven't had a spare second to get down to recording a new episode. I've featuring some great solos in this episode, and am talking about playing over vamps as I had some questions recently about that. I've also featured a live bootleg from a couple of years back of my big band. I'm about to get back into performing with them, and have been writing and arranging new music for them in the past months. Also in this episode is a track from Churanga Cakewalk, a band led by keyboard player/songwriter/producer Michael Ramos, whom I have had the great pleasure of work with these past weeks. Enjoy!
