Former Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck was on with Brock and Danny earlier today and the guys listen back to his feelings on the Seahawks being back in the Super Bowl. He hasn't played much, but how big can Percy Harvin's impact be against the Broncos? Is he a game MVP candidate? Does defense really win championships? There is some truth to it, but maybe the question is, is the Seahawks offense better than the Broncos defense? Callers weigh in. Plus, with marijuana becoming legalized by the 2 states with teams in the Super Bowl, should the NFL turn a blind eye to player's using it?

The guys talk about the randomness of Russell Wilson. Plus, Darren McKee of 104.3 FM in Denver who says the Broncos will definitely win because they will put up a minimum of 27 points. Colin and Tom talk to former Seahawk and current Seahawks analyst Paul Moyer who weighs in on the challenge ahead in the Broncos. The guys dive into the Richard Sherman reaction now that his mic'd up segment has been released. Why do we feel like Seahawks fans are disinterested in this game against the Titans? How do Super Bowl rings affect legacies for coaches and QBs? What will the Mariners do now?

 September 18, 2013 - Hour: 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Tom is taking something back when it comes to Richard Sherman. He says we just know too much about players and coaches personal lives because of the social media age. Because of this constant watch dog, even players that we might like, will slip up and where we might not have found out 10-15 years ago will be out there for all to see. Because we hear every little thing Sherman says, Tom is willing to overlook his recent comments about media doubters. Also Gary says this current secondary might be better than an all-star team from Seahawks history. Some baseball managers are on the hot seat including Eric Wedge. Will he get the ax? Also even though his team has had a great run, Ron Washington is on the hot seat. What makes a great manager? Both Gary and Tom agree that Joe Madden of Tampa Bay is the best manager in baseball right now. Plus, we get to know Gary a little better. Cleveland made a very odd trade today, trading their best player Trent Richardson to Indianapolis for draft picks, essentially throwing in the towel two weeks into the season. Who is the most likely 0-2 team to turn it around and maybe even make a playoff appearance?

 September 18, 2013 - Hour: 1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

The guys talk Mariners no really, they do. Gary is actually optimistic about next season because the teams that made the biggest turnarounds this year also had the biggest differential in starting pitching, which with Walker and Paxton give the Mariners a glimmer of hope. Tom still isn't sold as big factors for this season didn't pan out and pitching is fickle. A caller has no faith in this current regime to make the right moves. Michael Saunders understands that he has actually taken a step back this year and hasn't earned himself a roster spot. He is wrapping up his 4th major league season. Is he ever going to get it all together and become the impact player it looked like he was going to be at the beginning of the season? Gary gives 2 examples Texas gave up on Chris Davis and Kansas City did not give up on Alex Gordon. Who is available in the offseason?

 September 17, 2013 - Hour: 1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Tom foolishly thought the 49ers would come into Seattle and not only win, but blow out the Seahawks. Oops. He issues a mea culpa and thinks the team is the best in the NFL now. Jess thinks Jacksonville is ripe to be a "trap game" however. Both talk about Gus Bradley taking a huge step back by going to Jacksonville even though he's now a head coach. Tom gives a cooking analogy. Tom thinks it should be MANDATORY for referees to be available after a game to explain why they made a call a certain way in order to clear themselves. Jess says it was a great moment when umpire Jim Joyce apologized (and even cried) for making a bad call. He was quickly fogiven. A caller (who has been an official at the college level) says this is ridiculous. Refs need to be paid more to deal with the extra scrutiny. New York Yankees play-by-play announcer botches a call, really bad, saying that a ball that was caught was a home run. He's not the only announcer who has made a gaffe calling a game, as we revisit some not so great moments from Seattle's own Hall of Famer Dave Niehaus.

 August 22, 2013 - Hour: 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Ryan Braun released a statement today basically apologized for lying to everyone about his involvement in BioGenesis and failing an earlier drug test. The problem is that he lied so much for so long that it's doubtful he can ever be fully forgiven by teammates and fans. Matt likes the way Mark McGwire "went away" after retiring and waiting a few years before admitting using steroids and actually apologized to the Maris family in person. Tom can't get the image of him sitting in front of Congress out of his mind. Johny Manziel, who won last year's Heisman Trophy, is listed as a 2nd team QB. Now is that because of his of field issues and possible eligibility problems, or is this the twisting of the knife by other SEC teams. Shouldn't the reigning Heisman winner be on the 1st team? Ben Affleck is being cast as the new Batman. Is that really the best choice? Tom doesn't mind it too much, but Colin and Matt think he is a poor choice and hope it doesn't damage the franchise too badly.
