Wait, What? show

Wait, What?

Summary: Ostensibly about comic books and graphic novels, "Wait, What?" is a podcast in which two friends swap stories, theories, and jokes about all aspects of pop culture...but especially comics. For our early episodes, our theme music is Track 18 from Nine Inch Nails' wonderful ambient album Ghosts, which Trent Reznor graciously made available under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license. But for some time now, it has been an original composition by our very own Graeme McMillan: this update is overdue!

 Baxter Building, Episode 44 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:37:19

Welcome back to Baxter Building, the podcast reading through the first 416 issues of the Fantastic Four! The episode so big we had to cleave it in two! This is part one of two, as Graeme McMillan and Jeff Lester valiantly try to read--and make sense of--issues #371-381 of the Fantastic Four by Tom DeFalco, Paul Ryan, and Danny Bulanadi! The FF drop out of the frying pan of a chromatic cover and into the fire of a prismatic cover, as our favorite comics magazine struggles to reimagine itself for the rough and tumble Nineties. Jackets! Masks! Boob windows! And a somehow perpetually underwhelming cascade of guest-stars, supervillains, fight scenes and subplots! We read it all so you do not! Show notes await at waitwhatpodcast.com, we welcome your comments and questions at WaitWhatPodcast@gmail.com, and we invite you to look out for us on Twitter, Tumblr, and Patreon!
