She knows she’s forgiven by God and wants to help others with their issues. Zoe, now a junior at Cedarville University, is reaching out to girls in middle school through the STARS mentorship program. “We just go through a lesson. We talk. We talk about life. And there’s so many influences going on in their world, so it’s cool to just be able to dissect those things and ask the big questions like, ‘What does matter? What do you want your life to be about?’”

Hunt One factor that may surprise many, Matthew Holgate shares that “labor trafficking” is the biggest form of trafficking. ‘Human trafficking is one of the most tangible forces of evil that we can see today. Trafficking at its core is people hurting people – and people taking away the freedom that God gave everyone – and using another person’s freedom for their own personal gain.’

The COVID-19 pandemic pressed the accelerator on a pre-existing trend in the United States. Americans are on the move. Not all of us and not from everywhere, but “we’re seeing the very early stages of a sort of ‘reshuffling’ in the country." People have clearly begun “re-evaluating where they live: looking at housing costs, they’re looking at tax structure -- they’re looking at lifestyle.” Air1's Bob Dittman reports.

For Andrew Schultz, who has autism, the lunchroom was especially lonely, “pretty much mostly sadness,’ he shares. “For a mom, that’s very hard.” Lisa was motivated to go to God for help, on her knees, “asking God just to send Andrew one friend…just for one, to fill that loneliness.” Lisa’s heartfelt mom-to-Jesus prayer was soon answered and the blessing was “multiplied beyond my imagination.”

Years back, when he bought an inexpensive bike at a big box store, Randy Fry had no intention of creating a very active bicycle club with as many as 60 riders hitting the road. Ethan, a senior musician, acknowledges that it takes “a lot of courage” to gather with others at the flagpole, publicly displaying faith in Jesus. Ethan says at some schools, not his, he knows standing-up for Jesus “is not cool.” Kayla, a senior vocalist, describes SYATP: “I think it’s beautiful. Absolutely amazing. I love being part of it every year.”

The Hidden Genius Project began when five business and tech titans, all black men, partnered to mentor black boys for careers in science and technology in Oakland California. Not only do 95% of program participants graduate from high school, but many go on to head up other impactful social and educational outreach in their communities. Monika Kelly talks to Mark Martin, the founder of Build Up Birmingham, an early-college workforce high school, equipping youth and communities to determine their own future. The organization provides a pathway for youth of color to get a great high school education, an associate's degree and learn skills to rehab homes and eventually be able to own one of the homes.

Tim Carentz worked as a young Air Force medic at the Pentagon crash site. He suffered his first panic attack the next year and was eventually diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). After struggling with nightmares, fits of rage and suicidal thoughts, he finally reached out to a chaplain for help. Leaning on faith in Jesus and the support of his military community, he retired from the USAF as a Chief Master Sergeant and now operates Kaiserslautern Military Resiliency Center for families stationed in Germany where he currently resides. He is also the NATO Director of The Warrior's Journey. Air1’s Marya Morgan reports.
